Bobcats in Action Bobcats in Action

As seen on ESPN “College Game Day” the Kick for Cash is a raffle for Bobcat fans to help support the Booster Club. The raffle consists of a participant having the chance to kick a 33 yard field goal at halftime to win $100. That amount carries over if no one wins. Friday night of Sep. 5th, Senior Adrian Ullman was the first to win. He won $200 for his kick due to carry over from home game 1.

Purchase Spirit Wear

To ensure a safe and secure environment at BCSD athletic events, all spectators and athletes entering our venues will be asked to remove hoods or face coverings that obscure one’s identity, such as balaclava-style masks. This practice, which is common at collegiate athletic events, will help us maintain safety by ensuring individuals can be easily identified if needed.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Please reach out to District Athletic Director Dr. Carlos Cave for any questions.

Teens for Healthy Youth Bluffton High School Educate Peers During September National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

Teens for Healthy Youth (THY) at Bluffton High School created an awareness campaign for National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month with these simple actions:

  • They placed magnets with the 988 Suicide Crisis Hotline number on each teacher classroom’s door and administrator’s office doors.
  • Made posters with positive and encouraging messages to support peers who may be struggling with depression, anxiety, or suicidal thoughts.
  • Painted a large banner for September Suicide Awareness Month to display in front of the school and the cafeteria during morning carpool drop off.
  • Passed out Suicide Awareness bracelets with positive messages to peers arriving at school in the morning.
  • Initiated a dress-down day for students and faculty to wear teal and purple to support the cause.
  • During lunches, THY encourage students and faculty to sign the Suicide Prevention Banner to end the stigma associated with suicide under a balloon arch they made.
  • Had peers take pictures for social media using a THY created photo border.
  • Shared THY Suicide Awareness Fact card on Google Grade Level Classrooms.
  • LCAHY E-News Suicide Prevention was shared with the faculty and staff and also in Bluffton High School’s Parent Newsletter.
  • Made a video to create further awareness (linked below).
  • Put information from SAMSAH on warning signs of suicide in each of the teacher’s mailboxes.
