Primary Team News
Our kindergartners have fun with a Freeze and Write activity to practice high frequency words!
Intermediate News
We are so proud of the third-graders for working so hard on their first IAR tests. Between IAR testing this week, the third graders continued their biography research. We also played games to practice identifying and forming affixes. This week in 4th grade, students celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with creativity and enthusiasm. They read the fiction story Leprechaun Trap and explored key story elements, including plot, characters, setting, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. Students also participated in a St. Patrick’s Day-themed breakout room activity that focused on vocabulary development and using context clues. In addition, they worked collaboratively to complete a Reading Mystery, strengthening their teamwork and comprehension skills. As part of their discussions, students examined theme and how dialect contributed to the story’s meaning and tone. In social studies, students wrapped up their study of ancient Chinese dynasties by exploring the development of Chinese writing and how it evolved over time. Students also completed the IAR assessments in both Reading and Math this week. They remained focused, demonstrated perseverance, and worked incredibly hard throughout the testing process. Fifth graders this week did an awesome job staying focused and putting in their best effort on their IAR tests this week. Between IAR tests, fifth graders continued researching their assigned first lady for their social studies project and also reviewed how to solve problems involving elapsed time.
Middle School News
Middle School students had a blast at a recent assembly filled with energy, laughter, and a little friendly competition! Students faced off against faculty in a fun and lively game that had the whole crowd cheering. From impressive moves to hilarious moments, both teams gave it their all and kept everyone entertained.
We were also excited to welcome our 5th grade students, who joined us to observe and get a preview of what middle school is all about next year. It was a great opportunity for them to experience the school spirit and excitement that makes our middle school community so special.
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the assembly such a fun and memorable event!
