Dream Team- Working Together
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller
Dear Dealey Families,
This week, our focus is on the power of teamwork. At Dealey, we know that when students, parents, and educators come together with a shared vision, there is no limit to what we can accomplish.
Just as every player is essential on a championship team, every parent, student, and staff member plays an important role in our school’s success. From morning routines at home to learning in the classroom, to extracurricular activities and community events, each act of support contributes to a stronger, more vibrant learning environment for our children.
🌟 What It Means to Be a Dream Team
-
Parents & Families – You are the first coaches and cheerleaders, instilling values of curiosity, resilience, and responsibility.
-
Teachers & Staff – We guide, encourage, and challenge our students to reach their highest potential.
-
Students – Our shining stars, who remind us daily why teamwork matters most.
Together, we are building a culture where every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to thrive.
🏆 Team Highlights This Week
-
Montessori Night – Save the Date!
Join us on Tuesday, September 9, from 5:00–7:00 PM for our annual Montessori Night. Each department will showcase exciting activities that highlight the Montessori method in action. You won’t want to miss this wonderful evening of learning and community! -
Labor Day Holiday
Please remember there will be no school on Monday, September 1 in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy the long weekend with your family! -
Family Partnerships are growing stronger through your involvement, feedback, and encouragement.
📝 Important Reminder: Registration
Families, we are still missing many student registrations for this school year. Registration is a critical step to ensure your child’s placement, services, and accurate records.
👉 Please complete your child’s registration today at the official Dallas ISD Registration Portal: www.dallasisd.org/enrollment
If you need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out—we are here to help!
💡 Parent Tip of the Week
Ask your child: “What was one way you worked with a classmate today?”
This simple question helps reinforce the value of teamwork and reflection at home.
Closing Thought
As Helen Keller reminds us, “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” Thank you for being an essential part of Dealey’s dream team. When we lift one another up, we rise higher—together.
With gratitude and excitement,
Love❤️ Principal Amber Garrett

Seeking Parent Garden Volunteers for PreK - 5th Grade Classrooms -
Parent Gardening Volunteers work with their child's PreK/K or Lower Elementary teacher to determine a mutually convenient time to take students out to the garden each week (or every other week) during school hours. The time commitment for the Parent Gardening Volunteers is typically 60 - 90 minutes per gardening session, and the role can be shared between several parents in one classroom. 4th and 5th Grade students may also participate in gardening if a parent volunteer is available and their teacher desires for them to participate in gardening. We are planning to begin gardening with the students the week of September 8. If you are interested in serving as a Gardening Volunteer or learning more about this volunteer role, please contact Andrea Montillo (andreamontillo@gmail.com).
