It is hard to believe this is our last week before Christmas Break. It is going to be a busy week with lots of learning and tons of fun. Please read the newsletter carefully for important information.
MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM OUR COMMUNITY PARTNER:

Our GENEROUS community partner is donating Christmas Meal Boxes for our Smith Elementary Families. If you would like a Christmas Meal Box, please stop by the office beginning Wednesday morning at 8:00 a.m. We will pass out boxes as long as supplies last.
Christmas Meal Box Pick Up Schedule:
Wednesday, 12/15 - Friday, 12/17
8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
- 10 DAYS OF FUN: Our “10 Days of Fun” will continue this week. Please see the calendar below for a description for each day. PLEASE NOTE: Tuesday is Santa Day/Wear Red and White Day AND it is also CLASS PICTURE AND PICTURE RETAKE DAY! Pictures will take place first thing in the morning so students will be able to put their Santa clothes on right after pictures. Your child can wear red and white for their class picture.
- DAILY STUDENT DRAWINGS: We will continue our daily drawings for the Christmas Prize Cart for our students! It has been so much fun. Your child must be present to win.
- ATTENDANCE: With two weeks before Christmas Break, it is important that we finish strong. Each day we are celebrating the classrooms that have perfect attendance and everyone on time. Just a reminder: Our day begins at 7:45 each morning.
- CLASS PARTIES: Class Christmas Parties will be Thursday, December 16th from 1:45-2:45. We are limiting the number of parents that come to help with the party to two (2) total. PLEASE NOTE: If you are coming to the party, you will need to have your driver’s license and stop by the office to get a visitor pass to attend the party. If you come to school earlier in the week, you can stop by then with your license so we can get you in the system. Thank you for understanding as we transition back to normal school operations. If you are interested in helping with the party, please contact your child’s teacher. We will also be having a Valentine’s Day party on Friday, February 11th.
- CHRISTMAS BREAK: Monday, December 20th-Monday, January 3rd students will be on Christmas break. Students return on school on Tuesday, January 4th.
- 'TIS THE SEASON TO WIN: Thank you to everyone who has donated items for our Teacher and Staff Daily Drawings. We appreciate your donations and your willingness to celebrate our teachers and staff. It is not too late to donate an item. If you would like to donate, please deliver your items to the office with your name so we know who to thank for your generosity. Our last day of celebrating our teachers will be Friday, December 17, 2021.
