Safety Reminders
Morning Drop Off
Our SRO, Deputy Cornic, is out monitoring our parking lot.
Please note the following reminders to keep all of our Buckaroos and families safe.
- If you are not using the drive through drop off line, you must PARK and WALK your child to the door. Please use the crosswalk.
- If you arrive early, please wait with your child at the door until a staff member opens the doors for arrival. Doors open at 7:10.
- If you arrive after the bell rings at 7:45 and the door is shut, you must check your child in through the front office.
- All students should be supervised by guardians until they are safely in the building.
Car tags at dismissal are still required! If you need a new one, email the front office at bhplogistics@wimberleyisd.net and a new one will be sent home with your child. Some tags need to be refreshed, it is helpful if your child's name is written in big bold letters and hanging from your mirror.
Checking in for lunch: Please wait in the cafeteria for your child to arrive and check out through the front office. During your visit, we ask that you stay in the cafeteria and don't go to other parts of the building.
Cool Weather Play
As the weather gets cooler, please send your child to school dressed for time outdoors. A warm jacket, comfortable layers, and closed-toe shoes help children stay cozy and ready to play. Please label your child’s belongings so misplaced items can find their way home.
We will continue going outside on cold days whenever conditions allow. We value outdoor play and the chance it gives children to move, explore, and enjoy fresh air. Thank you for helping your child come prepared for outdoor fun!

Costume Parade October 30th @ 8am
On the Texan Roots Nature Trail
Dear BHP Families,
As we look forward to celebrating Halloween at Blue Hole Primary, we want to ensure that our festivities are fun, safe, and enjoyable for all students.
Please help us by making sure that all Halloween costumes are school-appropriate and age-appropriate. To maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our youngest Buckaroos, please follow these guidelines:
No blood, guts, or gore.
No scary or frightening costumes that may upset or frighten other students.
No toy weapons or weapon props of any kind.
No masks that cover the face or make it difficult to identify students should be worn throughout the day. Masks can be worn for the parade only.
Wear appropriate foot wear for walking on the nature trail.
We appreciate your help in choosing costumes that allow all students to participate comfortably and safely. Our goal is to make Halloween a fun and positive experience for everyone!
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to a wonderful Halloween celebration with our Buckaroos!
Our parade will begin promptly at 8am on the Texan Roots Nature Trail. Parents are welcome to line either side of the trail. Please park in the front parking lot and walk to the entrance of the nature trail which is located off of the back loop near the teacher parking lot.
Texan Roots
Each week we will be focusing on one of our Texan Roots themes and
how they apply to our Buckaroo Be's.
This week our focus was on X- Factor- Things that make us different. We are all special.
Next week our focus will be on A-Achieving goals “Seeing what needs to be done, and doing it.”
Partnering Together: Your help at home can make a big impact on the culture of our school family.
Try a "See it, do it" family habit: pick one 5-minute daily job your child owns without being reminded, like clearing their plate, packing their backpack, or putting away shoes. Then use a simple prompt instead of giving the directions.
- Ask, don't tell. Say, "What do you notice needs to be done?" rather than "Go pick up your shoes."
Treats no Tricks

Transportation Changes
All transportation changes need to go through the front office BEFORE 2:00. You can call our main number at 512-847-3407 or email BHPlogistics@wimberleyisd.net. Transportation changes recieved after 2:00 may not be honored. Please get them in early. When we have to pull a student off the bus to get in the car rider line, it holds up our entire dismissal process.
Please do not rely on the teacher for transportation changes. They are busy teaching and may not be able to check email.
