Drop Off and Pickup! Safety is #1!
Dear Marylin Avenue STEAM Academy Families,
The safety of our students, families, and staff is our highest priority. We have requested support from the Livermore Police Department (LPD) and LVJUSD Student Services to help us address ongoing concerns regarding traffic safety and compliance with school, district, and applicable legal expectations.
LPD will be supporting our school with traffic enforcement. Vehicles that violate parking, traffic, or safety regulations may be cited, documented, or towed as permitted by law.
Please follow these expectations every day:
🚨 PARKING LOT SAFETY EXPECTATIONS
DO NOT leave your vehicle unattended in the main drop-off zone unless you are parked in a designated parking space.
DO NOT enter the parking lot using the exit to bypass the line or cut into traffic.
DO NOT enter the designated handicapped/SDC drop-off area unless you have the required school parking pass.
DO NOT double-park in the drop-off zone or stop in a travel lane and leave your hazard lights on. Hazard lights do not make an unsafe or illegal parking situation acceptable.
DO NOT speed, drive recklessly, use inappropriate or threatening language, or engage in behavior that puts children, families, or staff at risk.
WHAT SHOULD YOU DO?
If the parking lot is full or congested, please park legally on the surrounding streets and walk to campus.
Take a breath. Enjoy the weather. Use those few minutes to walk and talk with your child.
A few extra minutes is worth keeping our children and families safe.
📹 PLEASE BE AWARE
Our campus and parking areas are monitored by security cameras. Traffic and parking violations may be documented, including vehicle and license plate information, and may be provided to law enforcement when appropriate.
Our expectation is simple: Follow the rules, drive safely, and look out for one another.
Every adult entering our campus is responsible for helping create a safe environment for children.
Be Safe. Be Kind. Be Responsible.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep Marylin Avenue STEAM Academy safe for everyone.

Volunteer at Livermore’s Community Service Day!
Community Service Day is an annual citywide event that brings Livermore residents together to volunteer on projects that make a difference throughout our community. This year, the City of Livermore, LARPD, and LVJUSD are partnering on several projects at local school campuses, and our school is on the list!
The day begins at 8:00 a.m. at the Robert Livermore Community Center with a free volunteer breakfast and event t-shirt pickup. Volunteers will then head to their project sites, with school projects taking place from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
We’d love to have our students, families, and staff join us and help make a difference right here on our campus! Sign up to volunteer and select our school’s project, or learn more about Community Service Day.
Thank you for helping us spread the word!
Volunteering for our new culinary arts program in the STEAM lab!
We are looking for volunteers to help in the STEAM lab on Mondays and Fridays a few days a month for our new culinary arts program, Rainbow Chefs Academy! We will need help prepping, washing, and assisting our little chefs! Volunteers are needed from 8:30 am to 2:50 pm. You do not need to be available the whole day but if you would like to stay the whole day that is great too! We can be flexible. If you are interested in helping out, please fill out this form and Mrs.Higgins will get in touch with you soon! Thank you so much!
