State Finals Information

Please read through all information carefully so we are well informed going into the day. Please let Ms. Nason or Mr. Lemon know if you have any questions. This is an incredibly exciting time for our program, but we must adhere to all schedules, expectations, and information outlined below.

Expectations

  • All students will attend the state breakfast, put on by our incredible spirit team!
  • All students will wear their uniform to and from Lucas Oil
  • We will move as a unit post-performance to our milk celebration and then to finish Class A and participate in full retreat
  • Parents, families, and friends: Plan ahead!!!! Have a game plan for parking, tickets, etc.
    • Poor planning on your end does not mean treating LOS employees, ISSMA Officials, or FC Staff poorly.
    • Spectators are encouraged to use highway to get to LOS. The Monumental Marathon will have several road closures throughout the city for the majority of the day.
  • For full retreat: FC will be located on "Side 2", between the 50- and 40-yard line.
    • Side 2 means the right side of the field, as you are looking at it from the perspective of an audience member
    • The band exits through side 2 at the end of their performance

ISSMA Media Policy

  • ISSMA Open Class State Championship Media Passes are intended for representatives of official news media outlets only
    • Valid credentials from news outlets they represent are required

Concert Band Fee Information

The band class fee is $40 per student, per semester, per class and is paid directly to our Band Booster organization. These funds help cover:

  • Contest entry fees
  • Transportation costs
  • Additional educational resources and opportunities for students

Please also note that you may see a consumable fee listed in Skyward. This is a separate district fee and is not part of the Band Booster class fee. Consumable fees support the purchase of music, method books, and other materials that students will use and keep throughout the school year.

RaiseRight™

Fundraising for YOU - all year round! No selling, no spending extra time or money… just everyday purchases turned into earnings. All of the money you earn goes straight to your student’s band account to use toward their band fees.

How does it work?

Rebates earned are added to your RaiseRight account. Once a month the RaiseRight Coordinator sends a rebate report to the Treasurer so the funds can be applied to your student’s band account. This will show as a credit line item on your monthly statement. The easiest way to earn is by downloading the RaiseRight app on your phone so you can purchase on the go!

You can also use an "online shopping" tool via RaiseRight to stack your earnings. Please note, credits from taking advantage of the "Online Shopping" tool will take longer to show in their booster credits. RaiseRight will not pay out online shopping credits until 45 days after purchase to assure no item have been returned.

Who can use it?

Any parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, friend, or neighbor can sign up for an account to help raise money for your student. They don’t have to live in Indianapolis in order to use it, either! With the convenience of the RaiseRight app, out of town friends and relatives can help you earn too!

How much can I earn?

Really, that is up to you! The more you use, the more you earn. Many of our families have offset their fees by as much as HALF just by using RaiseRight.

More information can be found on the FC Bands website at RaiseRight Fundraising.

Sign up now at raiseright.com after getting the enrollment code by emailing raiseright@fcbands.org.
