Summer, 2023
Principal's Message
Dear families,
I trust you are well and have had time to rest and enjoy your children.
Our summer as school leaders have been packed with district training on curriculum and instruction so that we can ensure all children learn at an adequate level of rigor and according to the Texas Standards.
I am happy to announce that the district is adopting the Reading and Math programs we piloted last year as they noticed how beneficial it was for the students working with them. The names of the curriculums are Amplify for Reading Language Arts and Eureka Math. I added links to their overview web pages in the "resources you can use" section as a reference. Once the district releases more information for families, I will share them with you.
Also, I want to share some updates and reminders with you via this newsletter. Most announcements here have already been posted to Class Dojo (Existing families), SchoolMint messages (New families), and our webpage.
Our PTO is organizing a family picnic on July 22nd, 2023. Please save the date to join us at this event. I will share all the logistics details with you as soon as I have them.
Once I return from the Summer break, I will share the information and Bios of our new team members.
Last, the second-floor construction is on its way. The general contractors are working on both floors right now, so I have not been able to schedule any more tours. Once they finish with the first floor, I will announce when it is safe to walk the building.
Please, reach out if you need anything.
