Dear Alumni.
It does already seem a distant memory but I hope you had a lovely Christmas and this email finds you well. We are excited to invite you to our DHSB@130 Celebration Event on the 28th of March 2026, from 12.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The event marks 130 years of our school's history and enduring legacy. Tickets cost £20.00 and are now on sale. Price includes a delicious buffet lunch and the opportunity to look around your school. Former student and now one of our history teachers, Dave Riggs, will be giving a talk relating to the history of DHSB. We will also have a bar - you can celebrate with our own DHSB IPA ‘Colonnade!’ Open to all alumni and former staff members. We hope you can join us and please spread the word!
Details can be found here:
https://www.dhsbalumni.com/shop
Tickets are limited so please don't delay. If you are unsure at the moment, a refund will be possible until the 21st March, one week before the event.
I’ve attached some photos from our successful 125th anniversary event in 2021 - it will give you a flavour of what you can expect if you have not previously been to one of our reunions.
For our 1958-1965 alumni there is an event being arranged which I have been asked to publicise by Peter Warren, son of Maths Master Bunny. It will take place on Wednesday 6th May, at Cafe Rouge, St. Katharine Docks, gathering between midday and 1.00 pm. If you are interested in joining them, please contact David Currell (davidcurrellauthor@gmail.com). He is hoping to confirm numbers with the restaurant soon.
Wishing you a Happy and Healthy 2026. I look forward to seeing you at our reunion event. If you have any questions, email beverley.kinsella@dhsb.org
Best wishes,
