English Language Family Night

On Tuesday, February 10th, our English Language Program hosted a Family Night for students and their families. After two weather-related cancellations, the third time truly was the charm! Six families gathered for an evening of fun, food, and fellowship at 4One2 Restaurant and Arcade.

Families enjoyed complimentary tacos and arcade time while connecting with one another and WUS staff members, including ELL teacher Dalee Nwimo and Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services Teresa Fulk. The relaxed setting provided an opportunity for parents to unwind, build relationships, and learn more about the district’s English Language Program, WIDA testing, and Michigan’s Seal of Biliteracy.

We were thrilled to see strong participation, as welcoming six families to this engagement event marks meaningful growth for the program. We look forward to continuing to create opportunities that strengthen connections between our schools and the families we serve.
