EL Summer Symposium

Our Annual English Learner Summer Symposium will be virtual again this summer! The theme this year is "Recharge with R10 EL Support" because we all need a little extra help Recharging and Reconnecting to our Why. This year we are kicking off with a pre-conference day featuring panels that will lift your spirits and reconnect you to the reason why you chose this career. Our Keynote Speaker, Raul Mateo Magdaleno, will get you going with an inspiring message as you get ready to join two days of breakout sessions with a variety of high-interest topics to support educators as they fill their toolbox with knowledge and strategies to better serve English Learners.

While serving EL students is the focus of our symposium, many of the practices we offer are applicable to ALL students. This is why we are inviting educators from departments that include Bilingual and ESL, Special Education, Gifted and Talented, STEM, Early Childhood, Dyslexia, and Migrant. Our audience will include teachers, administrators, counselors, department coordinators, paraprofessionals, and others wanting to attend.

To register for the symposium, please view the schedule below and choose the sessions you want to attend, adding each one to your cart. Check out to confirm your registration. Sessions cost $0 for staff in LEAs who are members of the Title III Cooperative and the EL Support Services cooperative. Non-cooperative members pay $25 for each session.

Follow the steps below to ensure you are registered.

1. View the Symposium schedule and decide which sessions you want to attend. New breakout sessions have been added to Day 2!

2. Go to the Region 10 workshop registration page.

3. Select the sessions you want to attend. Title III EL Support SSA and EL Support Services Package Cooperative members can register to attend for FREE! Non-cooperative members pay $25 per zoom session.

4. Please note you must register for each session you would like to attend. Each session has its unique session ID number. Make sure you visit all 3 conference tabs (Pre-conference, Day 1, and Day 2) to make your selections.

4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "add to cart." Proceed to check out. You must use your school district e-mail address when logging into the system to ensure the discount is reflected at check-out.

5. After checking out, you will receive a confirmation email. Most confirmation emails will include a Zoom link that will prompt you to register for the zoom session. Once you register through Zoom, you will receive an email with the link to join the session the day of the event. A reminder email with links will be sent the day before each session.

6. an email with a Zoom link will be sent to you. You must register for each session as they each have a unique Zoom link. Register for your zoom session when you receive the email.
