Mr. Covert's Musings
This week is National School Lunch Week, and I want to take a minute to celebrate our awesome Food Services team! Each day, Ms. Price and her team do an outstanding job feeding lunch to 1,100 hungry teenagers in only 2 hours!! Not only do they serve lunch, but they also serve breakfast each morning. They greet our students with a smile every day, and are such an important part of our school team. Please be sure to have your student thank our Food Services team!

American Education Week - November 16-20
This year, we celebrate American Education Week during the Week of November 16-20. Nationally, Tuesday, November 17th is recognized as Family Day, and as such we will again invite parents to come visit their child at school. Like last year, we ask that you RSVP (use the link below) so that we can make sure we have enough chairs in the classroom for everyone that comes to visit.

Golfers Going States!
Congratulations to the Girls and Boys Golf Teams for great outings at the District 6 State Qualifier at Fox Hollow Golf Course!
The Girls Varsity Golf team had a strong showing at the District 6 State Qualifier Tournament. Summer Burke shot her career low as a Hereford Bull hitting 80 on the day and will be joined by Sydney Penttinen at the State Tournament on October 27th at the University of Maryland. The girls' season is not over just yet, as the Bulls look to secure their 3rd consecutive District 6 team title at the County Championship on 10/21.
The Boys Varsity Golf team won the District 6 State Qualifier! Congratulations to Justin Oler on winning the tournament by shooting a personal best 5 under 65. Nikhil Rao shot an even par 70, and Jameson Greenwood and Connor Cline tied each other and finished in the top 5. Justin, Nikhil, Jameson, and Connor will be advancing to the state tournament at College Park in two weeks.
Best of luck to everyone at the County Championship & States!
