Monday, April 6, Campus PD Day Monday, April 6, Campus PD Day

Please see the graphic below for Monday's PD agenda. It was developed based on your staff survey data, student performance data, and observation data. All staff will participate in breakfast, lunch, and closing.

Paras, you will be able to work on tasks from the classrooms you support. This is also a great day to use any comp time that you have accrued. Per district expectations: Paraprofessionals will be expected to clock in and out for this designated PD day. They will need to “clock in” at the start of the morning for their campus, “clock out” for a 30-minute lunch, and clock in upon returning from lunch. Paraprofessionals should have clock-in hours that account for an 8-hour workday.

Teachers, if you have any literacy night take-home items you need to be prepared, this might be a good task the paras could work on.

For professional staff, we will meet in S103 (Huggins's room) at 8:15.

At 1:00, after lunch (on your own), PK-2 and specials will go to the PLC room for Barfield's session. 3-5 & Sped, you will go to the science lab for Lawson's session. At 1:30, the groups will switch.

At 2:00, PK-2 & Specials will stay in the science lab for Lynch's session, while 3-5 & Sped will stay in the PLC room for the Baker, Carley, White session. At 2:30, the groups will switch.

At 3:00, all professional staff will return to S103 for the final session, and paras will join us at 3:30 for our wrap up.

Our goal is for you to walk away refreshed, recharged, and with a refilled toolbelt for these final 34 days.

Reflect, Record, and Grow: Sibme Video Reflection Reflect, Record, and Grow: Sibme Video Reflection

User uploaded image

As we continue working to strengthen our instructional practice, each teacher is asked to record another Sibme video of themselves teaching. This recording should focus on an area where you would like to improve and should be at least 15 minutes long. This will not be counted as a walkthrough since and is not intended to be evaluative.

Once recorded, please share your video with Kerri and Rachel through Sibme. After recording, take some time to watch your lesson and reflect on what you notice about your instruction. Consider what went well, what you might adjust, and what area you would like to focus on improving next year. You can type observations or things you want to note in the Notes section of the video in Sibme.

This reflection will serve as a starting point for setting your professional goals for the upcoming school year. By taking the time to observe our own practice, we gain valuable insight that helps us grow as educators and strengthen learning for our students.

The expectation is that all teachers complete this reflection, even if you do not plan to return next year. Our goal is to continue building a culture of professional growth and continuous improvement across our campus.

If you need help recording or uploading your video, please reach out to Brittany or Amy Storer, who will be happy to assist you.

Thank you for your willingness to reflect, learn, and grow. Your commitment to improving your craft makes a lasting difference for our students and our school community.

March Madness Attendance Contest March Madness Attendance Contest

Our Attendance March Madness competition is officially underway, and we’ve already seen great excitement building across Lincoln as students cheer on their classes and work together to show up every day ready to learn.

This friendly competition is designed to build positive momentum around attendance and reinforce an important message for our students: every day of learning matters.

Weekly Breakdown Remaining

  • Week of 3/30-4/3 - Final 4 Championship: Division champions (Herzog, Perry, Schaper) and a Wild Card team (Robison) (determined by the next team with the overall highest average daily attendance for the championship period) to determine our School Attendance Champion

Shout Outs and Celebrations Shout Outs and Celebrations

Remembering our WHY is so important, allowing us to focus on our purpose and our calling. It helps us to better deal with the struggles and difficulties we face each day because we know there is a bigger purpose out there. For us, our staff made a commitment to ensure high levels of learning for every student, every day. We also committed to collaboration for the betterment of each student and each staff member.

Be sure to submit your Celebrations (the things that are going right - big or small) and Shout Outs (recognition/appreciation for your colleagues) each week by completing this form:

Shout Outs:

  • Susan - Thank you to Susan for always keeping in communication with me on student dismissals from sped, especially during testing season. We do have some quick turnarounds, but I appreciate that we keep student needs at the forefront to ensure they have what they need to be successful. (Maddie)

  • Collins & Rachel - On Friday after school, Mrs. Haynie let me know (through a friend of a friend) that there was a date change for the 5th grade Honor Choir concert! And, Mrs. Miller helped me change the bus reservation and get new permission slips ready! (Heather L.)
