Vaping Awareness Week Vaping Awareness Week

During the week of May 15 – 19, SMS’s TATU group, which stands for Teens Against Tobacco Use, will be hosting a Vaping Awareness Week.

We are hosting this week to highlight the dangers and risks associated with vaping and e-cigarette use.

Activities this week will include trivia in the lunchroom, a poster contest, dress up days, displays set up in the lunchroom, and of course, giving out prizes.

The poster contest will be by grade level. There will be one winner per grade level. The winners will receive prizes. If you’d like to participate in the poster contest, pick up a poster board in Mrs. Hartung’s waiting room, use the theme “Ditch the Vape & Feel Great” in your design, and return the finished poster to Mrs. Hartung by the end of the day Friday.

Dress up days for the week will be as follows:

Tuesday: Vaping will make you crazy (Wear crazy hair and/or crazy socks)

Wednesday: My Future is Bright Without Vaping. (Wear Neon or Tie Die)

Thursday: Don’t waste your future by vaping (Wear college apparel or dress up as someone in your future career field!)

Friday: Lei off the Wax. (Hawaiian Day)

Prizes will be given out to the student with the best outfit each day.
