Seaside Adventures
Year 2 Visit to Whitby
Our Year 2 children enjoyed a fabulous visit to Whitby last Thursday. They added to their geographical knowledge and were keen to practise their skills. A highlight of the day was a boat trip but the real treat was an ice cream on the beach at the end of the day!
Thank you to our Year 2 staff for running this exciting visit, and also our three wonderful volunteers Mrs Stewart, Mrs Allin and Mrs Krippner!
Stars of the Week
Congratulations to this week's stars:
Nursery - Hugo for super ideas and perseverance with model making.
Reception - Monty for working hard to independently create a model of London Bridge in the craft area.
Year 1 - Emilia for amazing maths work. She has shown lots of enjoyment when learning about money! She can recognise all the coins and notes and count in coins.
Year 2 - Henry for his attitude to learning on our Whitby trip. Henry is great at recalling our fingertip facts in geography and he wowed us all by using this knowledge in his activities and discussions during our visit.
Year 3 - Gracie for a super effort in her maths work on geometry this week.
Year 4 - Jacob for working carefully and systematically to solve problems in maths.
Year 5 - Joshua for showing a loving attitude and offering help to those in need all week.
Year 6 - Amelia for taking an active role in our science and history lessons.
Brass Ensemble
In our morning worship on Friday, everyone enjoyed hearing our brass teacher Mark Sidwell perform with his fabulous pupils Ramsay, Skye and Georgia. Mrs Walsh also joined in with some duets, it was brilliant! If your child was inspired, please contact Mark on the details below.
Friends of the School Summer Fair
Thank you so much to the 'Friends' and their families who put in a lot of work to organise, set up, run and clear away the summer fair. Their hard work did not go unnoticed! Thank you also to everyone who came along to support the fun filled afternoon.
