Night to Shine

On Friday February 13th, 13 students from Carrington, New Rockford, and Fessenden attended Night to Shine in Harvey. Students got ready at their schools.

We had the opportunity to get our hair, make-up, and nails done. We had nice “smells” to pick from, I picked “ripped abs”! Mr. Weber even came in and taught me how to tie my tie!

After we were ready, many of our families came to see us. Mrs. Ihringer made us take like “10 MILLION” pictures before we left.

We all loaded on the party bus provided by Scott and Celine Fetch and picked up the rest of our crew. We all went to New Life on Main in Harvey. We took “10 BILLION” more photos before we walked the red carpet inside.

There was a videographer there that caught our entrance. We registered and were introduced to our buddies. We made our grand entrance through the balloon arch and into the dance area. We picked out our flowers, took our photos, and enjoyed a good meal. They had amazing treats for us!

At 6:00pm, the dance started and so did the Limo rides! My buddy and I took advantage of many Limo rides and walking around and getting to know more people. I thought my buddy was really nice this year!

At 7:30 we got in line and were crowned King or Queen by Miss North Dakota. The night ended at 9:00pm and we got a goodie bag as we headed out the door.

The cool thing about Night to Shine is it doesn’t matter where you go, the night will be similar wherever you are!
