Message from Mr. Burns

Dear Salford Hills Family,

I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you as we embark on a new and exciting school year at Salford Hills! As the newly appointed principal, I am honored to be a part of this vibrant community and look forward to working closely with you to create an enriching and supportive learning environment for our students. Together, we will build upon the strong foundation of academic excellence and character development that Salford Hills is known for. Your involvement and partnership are invaluable, and I can't wait to collaborate with you as we nurture the growth and success of our young learners. Here's to a year filled with exploration, growth, and countless memorable moments!

See you soon!

Student Placements Available Friday, Aug. 18th at 4:00pm

If you're opening this Salford Hills Message on August 18th, today is the day that families can view teacher placement for the new school year. At 4:00 PM, information is available in Home Access Center on the SASD website using your login credentials. Follow the link below this message.

Student placement is determined and reviewed by a team of professionals including your child’s former teacher(s), school counselor, student support teacher, reading specialist, and myself. Each child’s academic ability and performance, social and emotional growth, and needs are discussed, as well as peer relationships. Through this process, we strive to create heterogeneous classes that function as cohesive groups and provide each child with an educational environment best suited to meet his or her needs. Therefore, we ask that you respect our professional judgement, and be assured that we will strive to make the most appropriate placement for your child.

In advance, I thank you for your trust in an educational system that cares about your child and families at large.

Respectfully,

Todd J. Burns

THANK YOU to all the students, parents, and teachers who helped Salford Hills have another successful C.R.O.P.S Garden this summer! The harvest this year was plentiful, and able to benefit local organizations such as the Keystone Opportunity Center. Our Garden Swaps this year also included time for a quick story, or time to pick out a new book to read over the summer. Again, thank you to EVERYONE who was able to come out and help!
