The PHE FELT Team invites all families to help us plan our float for the annual Hillcrest Parade!

The parade theme is “A Night in Atlantis: The Lost City of Hillcrest,” which gives us many fun possibilities, including under the sea, treasure hunt, or mermaid themes! 🧜♀️🐠💎
Bring your ideas and creativity! We need lots of helping hands to create an amazing float and compete for a chance to win! 🏆
The parade will be Friday, October 16, after school.

Classes begin after Labor Day, starting September 15th, and we have something for everyone!
Adult Literacy – Mondays & Wednesdays, 9:30–11:00 AM
Evening ESL Beginners – Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 PM
ESL Intermediate – Tuesdays, 9:00–11:00 AM
Spanish Online – Wednesdays, 5:00–6:30 PM

These classes are a great opportunity to learn, improve your skills, stay active, and connect with other parents in our community!

🚨 IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PRESTON HOLLOW FAMILIES 🚨
Dismissal begins at 3:20 p.m. Students picked up after 3:45 p.m. are considered late pickups.
Effective Thursday, September 24, parents or guardians arriving after 3:45 p.m. must park, come inside the main office, and sign their student out.

🔎 Screening Window: September 21 to October 2, 2026
📩 Parent Notification: By October 7, 2026
Parents may refer students in grades 1–5 who are not currently enrolled in G/T classes.

Dallas ISD families now have access to a centralized Parent Academic Support page designed to help parents and caregivers better understand and support their child’s academic experience.
The page provides families with easy access to district course syllabi, which outline instructional topics, learning expectations, and associated assessments.
In addition to course information, the Parent Academic Support page includes links to several resources that families may use throughout the school year, including i-Ready Parent Support, STAAR Parent Support, AI and Screentime Guidance, After School programs, and Tutoring Services.
