McNeil Canyon Fall Carnival - Friday, October 30th 4:00pm-7:00pm
The annual McNeil Canyon Elementary Fall Carnival will be held on Friday, October 30th from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. This is a fun-filled evening for the whole family and community. The Fall Carnival is sponsored by Community Council and is 1 of 2 major fundraisers for the year. Plus, it's a lot of fun! Parents will be receiving a phone call from their class parent representative asking them to help at the Carnival. Your time commitment can be as short as one hour. Please consider helping with this great event. We couldn't do it with out you all!!
BUY YOUR TICKETS EARLY AND AVOID THE LONG LINE!
***This event is so popular that the line for ticket sales can some times be out the door!
This year, we are offering early ticket sales exclusively to McNeil families. Bring cash, check or credit card to the school during parent-teacher conferences, buy early at the front office, and avoid the long ticket sales line.
We're looking forward to another great carnival this year! Hope to see you all there.

Congratulations to 2nd grade for their success in September’s Healthy Futures Challenge! They earned an extra P.E. game day for finishing the month in first place.
I am so proud of all our students who logged healthy activities throughout September. Every student who submitted a qualifying log will receive a small prize next week, along with a raffle ticket for a chance to win a grand prize at the end of the Fall Challenge. And the October challenge has already begun! Support our active Dragons by encouraging them to be active every day, participate in sports and activities in our community, and log their progress.
Speaking of healthy activities, P.E. has been enriching in all the best ways! Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders have been building spatial awareness and core strength as they zoom around the gym on scooters. Check out the pictures of our bean bag relays!
Meanwhile, our 4th, 5th, and 6th graders wrapped up their Archery unit this week with a friendly competition to see who could get their arrows closest to the center of the target. Watching the focus and discipline students demonstrate as they draw their bows is truly special. Scroll down to see it for yourself!
October Spotlight Students

Spotlight Student forms were sent home with these children at the end of September. Please return them as soon as possible so they can be placed on our Spotlight Student bulletin board. Thank you!!
