Looking Ahead
Dear Parkwood Families,
I hope you are all well. I want to share a few updates, celebrations, and important dates as we finish the school year. Thank you for everything you do to support our students — your partnership matters.
Celebrations from the Week
- A huge thank you to everyone who attended the 4th and 5th grade performance — the students were amazing!
- Special appreciation to our fabulous music teacher, Ms. Bronson, for putting together one spectacular concert for our students and families.
- We are grateful for the time families spend supporting school events — it makes these moments memorable for our children.
State Assessment Update
As we wrap up the month of April, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all of our 3rd through 5th-grade families for their incredible support during state assessments. We're proud to share that:
- Most 3rd and 4th graders have completed their assessments
- 5th graders are in the final stages of testing
Upcoming MSTEP Testing for 5th Grade
Important Dates:
- Tuesday, April 28th: Science (5th grade only)
- Thursday, April 30th: Social Studies (5th grade only)
- Testing Make-Ups: Week of April 27th-May 1st
Important Announcements
- Enrollment update: We currently have about 14 incoming kindergarteners on our list for the 2026–2027 school year who have completed all enrollment forms.
- If you would like me to confirm whether your child is on the list, please email me and I will check.
- If you have not yet enrolled your child and need to do so, please use the enrollment link at the bottom of this newsletter.

- Time: 10:30 AM
- Details: Parents will line the front sidewalk for the parade
