Principal's Corner
IT IS REPORT CARD DAY!!!! Please make sure you look at the paper copy or on Powerschool to see your child's grades.
We had a great first week back from Spring Break. Thank you for making sure your students were present and prepared. This is the last nine weeks before the end of the school year. It is very important that you encourage your child to focus and stay on task. May will be here quickly.
We had a great first day of ACT Boot Camp for the juniors. The next day of ACT Boot Camp will be Friday, March 29, 2024. Tuesday, April 9, 2024 is the big day for the ACT.
April 9, 2024 is a very important day! It is ACT Testing!!! ALL 11th grade students are required to attend. We plan on having an 11th grade cookout that day. We are excited to see all your progress this year.
9th, 10th, and 12th grade students will be virtual that day.
If you need to send in absence excuses, please email lee.attendance@hsv-k12.org.
Sincerely,
Kitrise Torain

From the Desk of the Magnet Directors
Theatre Magnet Director- Mr. Kisor
- Our students are full on Little Mermaid mode and have been working extremely hard every afternoon at rehearsals! This Saturday is our Sitz probe rehearsal. If you do not know what that means, it is our first opportunity to sing through the show with the band live! It is a very exciting time and students get to incorporate a little bit more as far as set pieces, costumes, props and media additions. The show is coming together! Please come watch and support this awesome performance! The show is April 4th, 5th & 6th. Tickets can be found at www.leehightheatre.org.
- Over Spring Break, Kisor and Camp along with one student attended SETC. The Southeastern Theatre Conference in Mobile. It is awfully packed theatre experience and the largest theatre conference in the country! It is full of keynote speakers, workshops, design competitions and auditions. It is a wonderful time for students to speak with colleges and learn from professionals all over the country. We will be taking a larger group in 2025!
- This past Tuesday, we were able to be on Fox 54’s Show & Tell thanks to the Broadway LEague of Huntsville. We had the opportunity to bring two cast members and talk about all the cool stuff with Little Mermaid. It was a wonderful opportunity to get Lee’s name out in the community and we are so grateful for the experience!
Director of Technical Theatre- Ms. Campolongo

- Hello from the authors! Our two teams have been working hard to get our first proof sent for the lit mag.
- They have been working with the art magnets to get correct credits for the artwork in the litmag. All spreads have been submitted to the editors, and they are making final adjustments before sending off to the publisher.
- Our social media team is finalizing their posts to highlight and promote the litmag this semester. Their plan is to make posts on Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
- The proposed date for Readers’ Theatre is May 1st and 2nd in the Black Box. Authors are working on individual pieces, group pieces, and getting copies for lit mag release at our final Readers’ Theatre of the year!
