Dear Feeney Families,

It’s an exciting time of year at DFP! Our students are exploring the letter C and discovering all the environmental print around them that begins with this letter. We’re also diving into the world of pumpkins, learning about their life cycle and exploring their different parts. Students are building their vocabulary with fun new words like fibrous strands, ribs, and rind! The fall fun continues with spooky games and sensory tables filled with spiders, hay, hedgehogs, and even a few “skeletons!” Students are also enjoying seasonal poems and fingerplays, including the beloved Five Little Pumpkins.

Throughout these activities, our students are actively engaged in learning, building friendships, and strengthening their independence and play skills. It’s wonderful to see their curiosity, creativity, and confidence grow each day! There are some fun events around town this weekend - I hope you have an opportunity to enjoy a few. Have a wonderful weekend, see you on Monday.

Warmly,

Julie Martin

As the weather grows cooler, a gentle reminder to please label your child's clothing - sweatshirts, coats, etc. Layers are great this time of year and we want to be sure everything is returned to you! Also, sneakers are ideal footwear for the preschool.

Halloween at DFP Halloween at DFP

As Halloween approaches, we’ll be celebrating in a simple, preschool-friendly way! Children are welcome to wear black and orange on Friday, October 30th. We ask that costumes be left at home so we can keep our daily routines consistent and comfortable for all children. We’ll enjoy some fun seasonal fall activities while maintaining the familiar structure of our preschool day.

Thank you for helping us make the day fun, safe, and predictable for everyone!

If your child is ill with a fever they must be "Fever Free" for 24 hours WITHOUT the use of TYLENOL, MOTRIN, or any other fever-reducing medication before they can return to school. If your child has a viral stomach illness with symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea, please keep them home for an additional 24 hours after symptoms have subsided. If your child has been diagnosed with an infection requiring antibiotic treatment such as Strep Throat, Conjunctivitis, Impetigo, etc. they must be treated with the antibiotic for at least 24 hours before returning to school. In addition to Conjunctivitis, your child's eyes must be free of drainage. For Impetigo, lesions may not be oozing.
