Cheyenne Food Pantry
Hi Mustang Families,
With the start of the new school year, the Cheyenne Food Pantry could use your assistance with stocking the pantry shelves. The Pantry supports over 50 students and their families each week by providing supplemental food assistance on the weekends. The Pantry partners with the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank and Project 66 monthly, but depends heavily on the generosity and donations from the school community as well.
Thank you in advance for your support! I'm sharing my list with you on Amazon.

Student IDs
Students are required to wear their student ID every day. The ID badges contain an RFID card that will be scanned when riding the school bus each day. The ID badge also allows students to check out library books, check in to school, and to purchase breakfast and lunch items, as well as be used for our new pass system during the school day. Having and wearing your student ID allows us to provide a safe environment by identifying Cheyenne Students and Staff as belonging to our school!
Students are expected to call home when they don't have an ID. If they lose their ID it cost $5 to replace it.
Program, Course Fees and Fines
September/October statements may reflect the following, depending on the student's classes and needs.
Art Fee for Elective Class $15
Choir Fee for Elective Class $30

FCCLA Book Drive
Hey Mustangs, let's round up some books to benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library! FCCLA is collecting new and gently used books because Dolly says "You can never get enough books into the hands of enough children". Books can be dropped off in the FACS room 405 or at the main office.
FCCLA is collecting books through October 7.
See Mrs. Wildman in room 405 for more information.

Questions:
Dress Code Reminders
The dress code policy has been reviewed with students in advisory. Students unable to follow the policy will be asked to call home for a change of clothes or offered items we have on hand.
DRESS CODE POLICY
Please take a few minutes to look over the Edmond Public Schools Dress Code policy. and STUDENT DRESS CODE (REGULATION). Here are a few key points.
Hats/Headwear: Students shall not wear hats or headwear in classrooms unless a medical or religious exception exists.
Clothing: Clothing must cover areas from one armpit across to the other armpit, down to the upper thighs. Tops must have shoulder straps. Rips or tears in clothing should be below the pocket area of jeans or pants. The top and bottom clothing items must be touching (No mid-drift).
Shirts may not be sheer or mesh and must cover the entire trunk of the body. Messages on shirts shall not include illegal drugs, alcohol, tobacco or other products that may not be utilized by children. Vulgar and/or obscene messages are prohibited and will be subject to discipline under the student discipline code.
Pants, shorts, skirts, and skorts shall be worn at the waist and must be no shorter than mid-thigh.
No Sunglasses
NO BLANKETS-
We would like to remind everyone that blankets are discouraged. If a student brings a blanket to school, it will be confiscated and returned to them at the end of the school day. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Dismissal Pickup Lines
We need your assistance in keeping Covell as open as possible in the afternoon. I am including the map for pickup and drop-off. There is still plenty of room to pull around using Prairie Village Drive and the Kelly entrance. This would provide a safer waiting area than on an active four-lane road. Please consider using this entrance for pickup or pulling into the parking lot to wait for your student.
Middle School Football Game Expectations
We want all fans to enjoy our football games. In order for this to happen, students will be asked to follow the game expectations. Student game expectations:
- Not sitting on the east side bleachers (all fans in home-side stands, west side)
- Sit with family or student section
- No one on the field, track area, or field house area
- Appropriate Language and Interactions with one another
- Not loitering in concourse area. Socializing is okay, but you are here to cheer on the Mustangs; you will be directed to sit in the stands.
- Pickup after the game must be on time; we announce when you should request your ride to be on the way!
- Behavior: students not following guidelines will be asked to call home and leave the game early
Edmond Public Schools has launched a new ticketing system for athletic events this school year. Below is a brief overview of some of the ticket options available to families:
- EPS All Sports Pass ($200): All EPS events, including high school and middle school games at all EPS sites. (Excludes OSSAA playoff games & Edmond Open).
- Adult Cheyenne Pass ($100): This pass will get you into all home games at the school site you purchased it from for the school year. (Excludes OSSAA playoff games & Edmond Open).
- Cheyenne Student Pass ($50): This pass is for students and gives them free entry to all home games at their school for the year. They can only access the pass and pay for it with their ID number. (Excludes OSSAA playoff games & Edmond Open).
- Cheyenne Punch Passes 10 & 20: These passes are for anyone who wants multiple tickets for one group. They can be used at any time at that purchaser's home site. (Excludes OSSAA playoff games & Edmond Open).
If you have any questions, please contact your site athletic director.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at our athletic events this year!
As an additional reminder, our students who are attending EPS sporting events MUST WEAR THEIR ID BADGES. They will not be allowed into the games without it. Please check with them before you drive them to the game to make sure they have their badge on.
