Dear Wildcat Families:
We had a great Friday Flag assembly today where we celebrated being recognized as a Silver Award school for PBIS. We were also very excited to be named as recipients of an award grant for $7000 to promote Belonging at Pomerado! We are very proud of the hard work it took to get both recognitions. This grant will help us purchase some exciting supplies and materials to enhance our counseling and recess room to create sensory safe spaces where students can learn to self regulate their emotions and be calm to be the best learners they can be.
As we enter the final month of 2025, we want to take a moment to reflect on the incredible growth, learning, and community spirit we’ve seen so far this school year. December is a time filled with celebration, gratitude, and togetherness, and we are grateful to partner with you in supporting our students every day.
This month, classrooms will be engaging in meaningful learning experiences, winter-themed activities, and opportunities to show kindness and empathy. We encourage families to continue reinforcing these values at home—small acts of kindness and responsibility go a long way in building confidence and positive habits.

Skip cooking and enjoy the King of Pizzas! Your dinner plans are set, and you'll be helping our 5th graders fund their special end-of-year activities.

🎉 Career Day at Pomerado is January 14! 🚀
Got a cool career to share with our students? Join us! 🤩 Career Day is a special event at Pomerado to showcase all the amazing jobs in our community. We are looking for parents and/or volunteers to come and share their careers with our students. 👨⚖️👩⚕️🧑💻 Each "career" will host a table in the MPR and classes rotate for brief, inspiring visits throughout the day. The event runs from about 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM, and the more careers we have to share, the better! 📈
If you're interested in sharing your career, please complete the Interest Form here (no commitment - even if you're just considering!). We need your help to get broad representation from many exciting fields! 🌍

You’ll also hear reflections from a student’s perspective about his journey and experiences transitioning into college—an inspiring look at how preparation and support can make all the difference.
