KickStart to Career is committed to actively investing in students from kindergarten through 7th grade by offering valuable grade-specific incentives. These opportunities are presented to every district and offered within classrooms through activities like financial literacy lessons, career projects and teaching them about savings while exploring their future!

These incentive programs are structured and offered to every participating school district. However, delivery and integration are managed at the local level. While the program is open to all, some districts may be in the initial stage of implementation and may not yet be participating in the full range of activities.

Help build your child's future on Deposit Day, Thursday, November 13th! KickStart to Career envelopes will be sent home for deposits (checks payable to the Community Foundation). Every contribution counts—invest a dollar today for a dream tomorrow!

Note: This specific Deposit Day is for 1st-5th grade students only. We'll have a full K-7th grade event in February!

Did you know you can check your child's KickStart to Career account balance in PowerSchool? When logging into PowerSchool, you will see a KickStart tab on the left. You can see updated deposit and balance information.

Remember Xello Family. A link was emailed during 6th grade, allowing parents/guardians to track their student's journey from 6th grade to graduation, including future goals and career interests.

KickStart to Career was launched to provide every kindergartener in Muskegon County with a tangible start toward their future. By opening a $50 savings account in their name, we are providing more than just money—we are planting a seed of hope. This early financial support, no matter the size, makes higher education and specialized training feel achievable, empowering our kids to pursue their biggest dreams and build brighter futures.
