Weekly Update 9/14/26
9/14/26
From the Principal
Parents, Students, and Faculty,
It may have been a short week, but it was another good one at Seminole County Middle School! Congratulations to both our Middle School softball and football teams on wins this past week! This week, both teams will be back in action on Tuesday, with football playing at home and softball traveling to Baconton. Our Cross Country team will compete Saturday at Deerfield-Windsor. We are proud of our student-athletes and appreciate everyone who comes out to support our Indians!
Our 6th grade students will also participate in the Positive Potential Program, sponsored by Phoebe and Morehouse College. This is a program we have participated in for several years with our middle school students, and it has been a positive and successful experience. We are excited for this year's 6th graders to have the same opportunity.
Don't forget that Fall Pictures will be taken Wednesday, so come ready to smile and dress your best! It's shaping up to be another great week of learning, activities, and Building the Tribe at Seminole County Middle School, where we all can "Belong. Grow. Achieve."

Plan Ahead for Great Attendance
As you make plans throughout the year, we encourage families to use the holidays, breaks, and scheduled days off listed on this flyer for vacations, appointments, and other activities whenever possible. We know some absences are unavoidable, but every day in school matters! Planning ahead helps our students stay on track, connected, and ready to learn.
Be here. Be on time. Be ready to learn. Be Tribe Strong! 💚
FACULTY & STAFF
Building the Tribe: CTAE
This week, we are highlighting our Middle School CTAE teachers: Victoria Clark and Levi Dunn in Agriculture and Harrison Hall in Computer Science. Our middle school CTAE courses give students the opportunity to explore different career areas, develop hands-on skills, and begin discovering their interests before entering high school. These early experiences help students learn more about the pathways available to them in high school and make informed choices about what they may want to pursue in the future. We appreciate our CTAE teachers for helping students discover new interests, build skills, and see the many possibilities ahead as we continue Building the Tribe!
Thank you, IT!

Picture Day is Wednesday!
FFA Official Dress Fashion Show
Our Middle School FFA students got creative while learning about proper FFA Official Dress! Using paper, tape, and a variety of classroom supplies, students designed their own versions of the attire worn by FFA members at competitions, conventions, and other official events. The activity brought plenty of creativity and fun to the classroom while helping students learn the expectations and traditions of FFA. They may have used some unconventional materials, but these students were definitely FFA Official Dress ready!
