STAAR EOC Information
Lebanon Trail High School will administer the Spring STAAR EOC exams in April. A passing score on all 5 STAAR EOC tests is a graduation requirement in the state of Texas.
The test dates are as follows:
- Tuesday, April 9th (A day) - English 1 and English 2 *
- Tuesday, April 23rd (B day) - Algebra 1
- Wednesday, April 24th (B day) - Biology and US History *
Please do not schedule any appointments on these days so that students are present to test, as needed.
Students will need to bring their fully charged, district-issued Chromebook on test day.
Students will have until 4:25 pm to test, if needed, and will be released at the completion of their exam to follow their class schedule for the day. (Students with CTE classes who have missed the bus by the time they complete the test, will remain in the testing room until their next class unless they have their own transportation.)

Job & College Fair -April 11
Frisco ISD knows that students are exploring summer job opportunities and colleges this time of year, so the Career and Technical Education Center is holding a two-part event on Thursday, April 11 from 5 to 7 p.m.
Over 40 summer part-time employers will be present and actively interviewing, so students (aged 16-18) should come dressed professionally with a resume. Colleges and trade schools will be present and ready to guide students and their families!
1forAll Chromebooks
Our district 1forAll program offers students a seamless online testing experience. Students buy in for a one-time $20 fee and receive a district-supported Chromebook for the entirety of their high school career. High school students are strongly encouraged to participate in the 1forAll program in order to receive timely troubleshooting and repairs, consistency across all online testing experiences, and to keep costs at a minimum for families.

Seniors, please remember Scholarships are located in Xello.
In order to encourage commitment and retention to a Fine Arts or Athletics program for a full four years and encourage participation in the upper level courses in these areas, students have the option to exclude from the weighted GPA calculation one credit course each year in grades 11 and 12. This allows juniors and seniors who are on track to meet all graduation requirements to participate in the following programs in the third and/or fourth year on a GPA-exempt basis. This should only be considered by students who have a weighted GPA of 5.0 or greater.
The eligible single courses include the following:
Theater/Tech Theater
Dance/Drill Team
Cheer
*Band
Color Guard
Choir
Orchestra
**Athletics/Manager
Athletic Trainer
*Not to include ensemble
**Not to include off-campus PE
To exclude a course from the weighted GPA calculation, students must have two years of participation in the single program of interest in two previous school years during high school. The GPA Opt-Out form has opened, and students must complete the “GPA Opt Out” form by the deadline of April 12th to request an exemption for next school year, 2024-2025. The exemption form can be found in the student portal under the “GPA Opt-Out” tile. The GPA exemption in Fine Arts only applies for areas of Fine Arts that do not contain options for weighted credit; thus Art is not an eligible area (Advanced and AP Art courses are available in the four-year pathways). See the 2024-2025 Academic Guide for information. All information regarding GPA for Rank can be found in FISD's GPA for Rank Policy.
Please reach out to Dr. Austin, austink@friscoisd.org with any questions.

Jostens was on campus in February to deliver orders that were placed before the February 18th deadline. We still have several orders that have not been picked up in the front office.
If you have not ordered your graduation announcements and or cap and gown, please click here to place your order. All orders after Senior Event Delivery will incur an individual shipping charge and will be sent directly to your home address. Administrators will begin speaking with individual students who have not ordered this week.
The only items required for graduation are a gown, cap, stole, and tassel. While it is possible to borrow a cap & gown, please remember both the stole and tassel have the year on them. Also, gowns are fitted by height and weight. Items can be ordered individually on the Jostens website.
If you have any questions, please call the Jostens office at 214-383-9502.
