Message from Administration

October is here, and with it comes an exciting season filled with school spirit, special events, and opportunities to celebrate our amazing Bartram Springs community! From Spirit Days and Walk & Roll to School Day to Boosterthon and all the activities that make this time of year so memorable, there is much to look forward to throughout the month.

As we enjoy these exciting events, we also want to recognize the hard work and dedication our students have demonstrated during the first quarter. The end of the semester will be here before we know it, and now is the perfect time to stay focused, continue building strong academic habits, and finish the quarter on a high note.

We encourage all of our Eagles to keep giving their best effort, setting goals, and taking pride in their learning. With the support of our families, staff, and community, we know our students will continue to soar both inside and outside the classroom.

Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to make Bartram Springs a place where every student can learn, grow, and succeed. Let's make October a month filled with school spirit, strong academics, and Eagle pride!

At Bartram Springs Elementary, we are committed to creating a school environment where every student feels safe, valued, and respected. During Bullying Prevention Spirit Week, October 19-23, we invite all students and staff to participate in themed spirit days that promote kindness, inclusion, and standing up for one another.

Join us as we Be Kind, Be Brave, and Be a Hero! Check out the daily spirit themes and help us show that Bartram Springs Eagles stand together against bullying. 💙💛🦅

🦅 Boosterthon Volunteers Needed!

Our biggest fundraiser of the year, Boosterthon, is just around the corner, and we need your help to make it a success!

🎁 Boosterthon Prize Distribution | October 8-23
Help us deliver well-earned prizes to our students as they meet their fundraising goals! Volunteers assisting with prize distribution must be approved Level Two volunteers.

🏃‍♂️ Boosterthon Fun Run | October 22
Join us for one of the most exciting days of the year as we cheer on our BSE Eagles during the Boosterthon Fun Run! Volunteers for this event must have either Level One or Level Two clearance. Calling All Candy Monsters!

Our Trunk or Treat is creeping closer, and our candy supply could use a BIG boost! We’re collecting candy donations NOW through October 26th! Drop donations off in the front office or send them in with your child to give to their teacher. Let’s fill those candy buckets and make this year’s Trunk or Treat a SWEET success! Because let’s be honest… the kids didn’t ask for tricks—they asked for CANDY!

Investing in Student Opportunities Through the 1-Mill

The 1-mill investment continues to make a meaningful impact on student experiences across Duval County Public Schools. Approximately 12% of 1-mill funds have been dedicated to enhancing both arts and athletics programs, creating engaging spaces where students can learn, perform, compete, and grow.

Recent projects include stage and audience seating renovations, new band uniforms, lighting and sound upgrades, recording studios, elementary playgrounds, turf fields, track resurfacings, athletic facility improvements, and more. These investments provide students with opportunities to develop creativity, teamwork, confidence, leadership skills, and school pride both inside and outside the classroom.

❤️ Hands Only CPR in PE

In recognition of Heart Week, Coach Carney’s PE students took part in an important hands only CPR lesson. Students learned how to recognize when someone may be experiencing a cardiac emergency and practiced the proper technique for performing chest compressions. Through this hands-on experience, students gained valuable knowledge and confidence in responding during an emergency. Learning CPR is more than just a PE activity. It is a lifesaving skill that students can carry with them wherever they go!
