Special Recognition

Officer Sabrina Blackwell - Argyle West Elementary
Officer Preston Staber - Argyle South Elementary
Officer Steven Marks - Jane Ruestmann Elementary
We also had the esteemed pleasure of witnessing the swearing-in of our new K-9 Unit, an exciting addition that further strengthens our safety and security efforts across the district. <video link>
We capped off the recognition portion of the meeting by celebrating an incredible season for our Argyle Eagle Football team — Class 5A Division II State Quarterfinalists.
Thank you to Coach Todd Rodgers and six senior members of the 2025 team for joining us as we recognized this tremendous accomplishment — a true testament to the hard work, discipline, and heart of our players and coaches. <video link>

The TAPR report provides a comprehensive look at student performance across Texas, with results disaggregated by student groups, along with detailed information about district staff, programs, and student demographics. We appreciate Dr. Jordan’s leadership in ensuring transparency and keeping our community informed. <video link>

Regarding the Resolution authorizing the acquisition — by purchase or, if necessary, eminent domain — of two utility easements and two temporary construction easements to provide electric and gas service to District property across land currently owned by The Well Community Church of Argyle, the District remains in regular discussions with church leadership.
While negotiations continue in good faith with the goal of reaching an amicable agreement, the statutory eminent domain process is proceeding in parallel to ensure project timelines remain on track. The District’s acquisition of these two easements are required by CoServ to provide direct electricity and gas services to Gibson Middle School.
