Principal's Message
Dear Neubert Families,
We are heading into another great week of teaching and learning here at Neubert! Thank you to everyone who has donated to the D300 Food Drive and the Animal House Shelter drive—we truly appreciate your generosity and support.
This week, Neubert will host the Master Facility Plan Open House on Monday from 5:30-7:30 PM (more information available here). Additionally, we have our 1st Grade Music Concert on Wednesday and our One School, One Book Literacy Night on Thursday—both events we are very excited about! The Dental Clinic (for those who registered) will be at school on Monday and Wednesday.
Please remember that there is no school for students on Friday, as it is a Teacher Institute Day.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support at home.
Your Partner in Education,
Ms. Nicole Bryan, Principal

Neubert Staff Shoutouts
At Neubert, we are so lucky to have such a dedicated and caring staff! We invite you to take a moment to recognize a staff member who has made a difference for your child(ren) or family. Your personal messages will be sent directly to the receiving staff member. Your kind words mean so much and help us celebrate the amazing work happening every day!
Illinois Principal Association (IPA) Student Leadership Awards
On Wednesday of last week, we celebrated two of our incredible Neubert Knights who truly show what it means to be leaders in everything they do! Congratulations, Eryk and Maddie—we are so proud of you and the example you set for others every single day! 🎉
A Message From Mrs. Stofan
Dear Neubert Parents,
I first want to say thank you to everyone who has donated so far to the Animal House Shelter. It has been amazing to see students, parents, neighbors, friends, and grandparents come together to support this very special drive that Neubert has been dedicated to over the years.
The shelter truly appreciates each and every one of you—and so do the furry animals who benefit from your generosity. Your donations help provide comfort, care, and even a few toys for animals as they wait to find their forever homes.
As a reminder, we will also have donation boxes available during Literacy Night on Thursday, April 23rd. If you have anything you would like to contribute, it is always greatly appreciated.
Animal House Shelter in Huntley, IL, urgently needs blankets, towels, comforters, bleach, laundry detergent, pet toys, and specific, high-need food items like canned pate and puppy/kitten formula. Other essentials include pet cleaning supplies, collars, leashes, and newspapers, which can be donated in person or via their Amazon Wishlist.
A special thank you to Mrs. Arms’ 5th grade class for creating wonderful posters for the Animal House Shelter. We truly appreciate their artistic talent and the care they put into their artwork.
Thank you again for your continued support!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Stofan

April: Autism Acceptance Month
April: Arab American Heritage Month
April is Arab American Heritage Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich history, culture, and contributions of Arab Americans to our communities and country. It is also an opportunity for families to learn more about the diverse traditions, languages, foods, and stories that make up Arab American culture. By engaging in meaningful conversations and experiences at home, we can continue to build understanding, appreciation, and respect for all cultures.
Families can honor Arab American Heritage Month in a variety of simple and meaningful ways:
- Read a children’s book that features Arab American characters or is written by an Arab American author
- Explore traditional foods by cooking or trying a new recipe together (such as hummus, falafel, or pita bread)
- Listen to Arabic music or watch a family-friendly video that highlights Arab culture
- Learn a few words or phrases in Arabic and practice using them together
- Talk as a family about the importance of diversity, inclusion, and respecting different cultures
- Create art inspired by traditional Arab patterns or designs
- Research and share stories about notable Arab American leaders, artists, scientists, or athletes
By taking part in these activities, families can help foster curiosity, empathy, and a deeper appreciation for the many cultures that make up our community.
One School, One Book
As you read along at home, we encourage you to use our OSOB interactive Book Creator available on the NES Student Schoology page, where you can listen to special guest readers bring the story to life!
Be sure to also save the date for our upcoming Literacy Night on April 23 from 5:30-7:00 PM - we can’t wait to celebrate reading together as a school community. More information on the flyer below!

Lost and Found
Updated 03/30/26
Our Lost & Found is officially bursting at the seams! We’ve got jackets, hoodies, snow pants, LOTS of hats and gloves… and even some lonely gloves still searching for their missing match 👀🧤 If your child has been “missing” something, chances are it’s hanging out here waiting to be rescued!
To help lost items make a quicker reunion in the future, we encourage families to write students’ names on their belongings. A name goes a long way in helping us return items faster. Thank you for helping keep our Lost & Found from growing! 😊
Neubert Spirit Wear Days
Regularly scheduled spirit days will continue in May for the end of the year countdown. Continue to wear your Neubert gear on Fridays to show your school spirit!
Our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a team of passionate parents and staff who work together to make Neubert an even better place to learn and grow. From planning fun family events to supporting teachers and students, the PTO helps build the strong, connected community our kids deserve. Stay tuned for ways to get involved!
