Whether you’re joining us for the first time or returning for another great year, we’re grateful to partner with you in your child’s education. Our staff has been hard at work preparing for the first day, and we’re ready to support, challenge, and celebrate our students every step of the way. We’re looking forward to a school year filled with growth, connection, and opportunity. Please read through all the information below, as it contains important details about the upcoming year.

To-Do List
zoom_out_map Show in original size

1. DOWNLOAD FOCUS SCHOOL SOFTWARE PORTAL ACCOUNT

Focus is Wentzville's student information system, where you can track student grades, attendance, and more! You can access Focus online by logging into Focus School Software website, or through the Focus Student Information System app.

2. LOOK INTO TIMBERLAND'S EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

At Timberland, we highly recommend that students participate in extracurricular activities. Participation in extracurricular activities can enhance overall development, academic performance, and social skills, and provide opportunities for personal growth and career exploration. Check out all of Timberland's clubs and sports, and stay up to date with THS's Activity Calendar.

3. PURCHASE A PARKING PERMIT (STUDENT DRIVERS)

To obtain a parking permit, students must click this link and follow the instructions. Students will be able to pick up their physical parking tags in Office 250 during the first week of school.

4. LOCATE & CHARGE CHROMEBOOKS

All students should bring their previously issued Chromebooks on the first day of school, and every day after... make sure they're charged! Students who are new to Timberland will be notified when their Chromebook is ready for pick up during the first week of school.

  • The Acceptable Use Policy (required) will be online this year through Focus, and is available to complete now. Parents will have the opportunity to read through the policies and accept the terms using the FOCUS parent portal. Students will not have Chromebook internet permissions until the parent has accepted and signed the AUP form.

  • The Chromebook Insurance Form (optional) will be online this year through Focus, and is available to purchase now (click here to learn how to pay this fee through Focus). The cost to participate in this program is $20 annually. Coverage begins once the Chromebook has been issued to your child and payment has been received. It remains in effect through Tuesday, June 30, 2026. This fee is non-refundable and does not transfer to the next school year if the insurance is not used.

5. UPDATE MEDICATIONS & IMMUNIZATIONS

  • Incoming Seniors MUST have the MCV vaccination prior to August 24 in order to attend the first day of school. If your student has already received the MCV vaccine, please forward documentation to the THS nurse, donnadavis@wsdr4.org. This immunization can be given by your pediatrician, local pharmacy, or the St. Charles County Health Department. Typically, these vaccines are hard to find the closer we get to the start of a new school year. If you have any other questions, please be sure to review our district website.
  • Students cannot keep medication on them at school. If your student takes over-the-counter or prescription medication, get updated medication orders from their physician that include the name of the student, name of drug, dosage, frequency of administration, route of administration, and the prescriber's name. Drop both the physician orders and medication off at Timberland.

6. MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR SCHOOL PICTURES

School pictures for all Grade 9-11 students and staff will be taken at school on Friday, September 18, 2026. School pictures for all Grade 12 students and retakes for all students will be on Friday, November 6, 2026.

7. PURCHASE A YEARBOOK (OPTIONAL)

If you would like to purchase a 2026-2027 yearbook, click this link and type in the code 8123.

8. FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH SCHOOL LUNCHES

  • Meal charges will resume on the first day of school, August 24. Be on the lookout for updated information on how to check updated meal prices, fee balances, and adding funds to your student's meal account in Focus.
  • If you believe that your family would qualify for our Free & Reduced lunch program, please review the income guidelines and fill out an application on our website. Applications can be returned by the following methods:

    • Returned To: Timberland High School
    • Scan & Email: marysanzottera@wsdr4.org

You can order spirit wear on our online Timberland Store, or you can come to any football game to purchase spirit wear that benefits All Sports Boosters!

10. COMMUNITY AGENCY OPT OUT

Throughout the duration of the academic year, the Wentzville School District partners with community agencies that specialize in providing students, families, and educators with preventative education. Agency presenters are credentialed, coordinated through the District, and under the supervision of building administrators. Presentation topics are targeted toward specific grade levels. All students will participate in each program unless you choose to opt your child out of the lesson(s). Q&A
zoom_out_map Show in original size
Band student
zoom_out_map
  • What time does school start and end each day?
    • 6:50 AM – Timberland is open for students
    • 7:20 AM – First class of the day begins
    • 2:20 PM – Last class of the day ends
    • 2:30 PM – All students (except those who are staying at school to participate in a club or sport) must be out of the building.

  • What are DEN Time and PACK Time?
    • DEN Time (5th hour) – Timberland's daily hour long lunch where students can eat lunch, attend tutoring sessions, play basketball, visit with friends, and more! DEN Time is a privilege, and can be reduced to a "normal" 30-minute lunch if students display consistent poor behavior.
    • PACK Time / Student Success Time (9th hour) – Timberland's homeroom period on Thursdays, where students will have the opportunity to catch up on their studies, attend tutoring sessions, makeup quizzes and tests, and more!

  • My student is interested in joining a club or a sport. Who should they talk to?
    • Athletics – Check out Timberland's Athletics Page to learn more about our sports, coaches, tryouts, etc. All tryouts for fall sports will begin on Monday, August 11, 2025.
    • Activities – Check out Timberland's Activities Page to learn more about the clubs we offer and when they meet during DEN Time. Please note that we are still making updates to this page to prepare for the 25-26 school year!
    • When in doubt, reach out to any coach, club sponsor, or Timberland's Activities Administrative Assistant, Erin Willhite.

  • Where can my student find their class schedule? Students will be able to view and print their class schedule with their Focus app or the Focus website. For the first week of school, it's recommended that students take a screenshot of their schedule and use it as their wallpaper for easy access, or print their schedule. Timberland's main office can print schedules for students too! Please note that at this time, schedules are not finalized or accessible for students and parents.

  • What supplies will my student need for their classes? For the first day of school, all students will need their school-issued Chromebooks and chargers as well as a pencil. On the first day of school, all teachers will let students know of any other materials needed.

  • My student is going to be absent or late from school. What should I do? Prior to the absence or late arrival, parents should contact the Timberland attendance office at (636) 327-3988 ext. 27223 or attendance.timberland@wsdr4.org. Parents are responsible for communicating a student’s absence or late arrivals with the school, and students are responsible for communicating with their teacher via in-person conversation or email to catch up on what they missed during their absence.

  • My student needs to leave school due to a sickness, appointment, etc. What should I do? Students can only leave the building during school hours with parent permission. Prior to the absence or late arrival, parents should contact the Timberland attendance office at (636) 327-3988 ext. 27223 or attendance.timberland@wsdr4.org. Parents are responsible for communicating this information, and students are responsible for communicating with their teacher via in-person conversation or email to catch up on what they missed during their time away.

  • How can I check my student’s grades? Parents can view student grades and attendance in our student information system, Focus. To access Focus, you can scan the QR code above or download the Focus app (high recommended)!

  • My student is struggling in a class. What should we do?
    • Students – All teachers have office hours at least once a week during DEN Time, and students should take advantage of this time. PACK Time is also a great time for students to attend tutoring with their teachers or to makeup quizzes and tests. Our teachers work hard to help all students succeed, and struggling students need to meet teachers halfway by using DEN Time and PACK Time to receive academic help.
    • Parents – We encourage parents to maintain open communication with their child's teachers. Direct contact provides valuable insight into your student’s academic progress and classroom experience. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out via email.

  • I have a question and would like to talk to someone. What should I do? This depends on what your question is...
    • Grades or assignments? Contact your student’s teacher via email first.
    • Scheduling or mental health? Contact your student’s counselor.
    • Safety or discipline? Contact your student's assistant principal.
    • Anything else? Call our main line at (636) 327-3988 ext. 27221 or email one of our administrative assistants.

  • Where can we buy Timberland spirit wear?
    • All Students & Adults – The best place to purchase spirit wear is at our home football games this fall! Our home games are on Fridays at 7 p.m. on the following dates: September 5, September 19, September 26, October 10, October 24.
Drop Off & Pick Up
zoom_out_map Show in original size

MORNING DROP OFF – Click here to view the map!

Parents and guardians have two options when dropping off their student at Timberland each morning:

  1. Enter South Middle School's campus through Highway N, head towards Timberland, drop your student off at the main entrance, and then exit the same way you entered.
  2. Enter Timberland's campus through Perry Cate Blvd, drop your student off at the main entrance, and then exit the same way you entered.

We recommend that all students are inside the building at 7:15 a.m. so they can make it to their first class of the day on time at 7:20 a.m.

AFTERNOON PICK UP – Click here to view the map!

There is only one option for afternoon pick up, and it's very important that this route is followed so we can keep our busses on schedule and avoid traffic jams. You must enter South Middle School's campus through Highway N, head towards Timberland, pick up your student at the front entrance, and then exit on Perry Cate Blvd.

Phone Policy

Students
zoom_out_map

Please familiarize yourself with the upcoming change to District policy regarding student use of personal electronic communication devices (EPCDs). The policy, which reflects new requirements under Missouri Senate Bill 68, is expected to be adopted by the Board of Education at its meeting on Aug. 21, 2025, and will take effect on the first day of school for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Under the new policy, students will not be permitted to use or display EPCDs—including cell phones, tablets, laptops, smartwatches, and smart glasses—during the school day. For purposes of this policy, “school day” refers to the official start and end times designated by each school building.

The policy includes specific exceptions, allowing EPCDs to be used:

  • During emergencies
  • As required by law (e.g., for students with special education needs)
  • When authorized by a teacher or administrator in support of an educational activity

This change is designed to support a learning environment free from unnecessary distractions and to ensure compliance with state law.

In addition, the District’s Student Code of Conduct will be updated to reflect the new requirements beginning on the first day of school. Families are encouraged to review these updates and discuss expectations with their students in advance of the school year.

The Student Usage of Electronic Personal Communication Devices policy available for review on the District website. The updated code of conduct reflecting these changes can be reviewed at the following link: 2025-2026 Student Misconduct & Disciplinary Consequences.

Timberland's Attendance Secretary is the wonderful Mrs. Jennifer Boyd. If you are needing to contact her about an absence, late arrival or early release, please email attendance.timberland@wsdr4.org or call her at 636-327-3988 ext. 27223.

We have a kiosk outside the attendance office for signing your student in and out of school. You will need to download the Focus App (see below), then login and click on the teal barcode in order to scan your student in and out of school.

Barcode Instructions

Please note that signing your student out during Den Time (lunch) DOES count against their attendance. We do NOT have an open campus during lunch for students to leave. If you need to sign your student out during this time, please try to contact the attendance office ahead of time as students are not able to use their phones during lunch this school year due to the new state law in Missouri.

Hall Passes

Students
zoom_out_map

This school year, Timberland will implement a new Hall Pass system, which is integrated into the existing Focus student information system. Hall Pass will provide a real-time overview of students outside of their scheduled classes, which enhances school safety and organization by allowing staff to quickly see who is where at any given moment. It will also offer valuable insights into student academic achievement by monitoring in-class learning time and aid in managing the supervision of students during the school day/class time.

View the Focus Hall Pass Parent and Student Feature Guide, which explains the purpose of this system and how to use it.

Schedules
zoom_out_map Show in original size
Students
zoom_out_map

We highly recommend that students check their schedules again, as we have been consistently revising schedules to benefit student needs, class sizes, and more over the last few weeks.

HOW SCHEDULING WORKS
Students recently completed the course selection process with guidance from teachers and counselors. They had the opportunity to meet with a counselor to choose their classes for the upcoming school year. Student schedules are built based on the Course Schedule Requests that all students had the opportunity to submit in February. We build our master schedule and organize instructional materials – both of which are finalized in Spring of 2025 – based on students’ original course requests.

SCHEDULE ADJUSTMENTS

Please note that some schedule adjustments may occur due to second semester grades, unmet graduation requirements or prerequisites, full class sections, acceptance into special programs, or credits earned through summer school.

COURSE CHANGE REQUESTS

Only essential schedule changes will be considered, and only with administrative approval. If students would like to inquire about a schedule correction, the required Course Correction Form. Please do not email course change requests; all emails requesting a course change will be disregarded. Also, please note that not all course requests will be granted due to our master schedule, instructional materials, etc.
