September Counseling Newsletter
Welcome to the 2026 Briscoe Counseling Newsletter!
Hello Briscoe Students and Families,
Small Group Counseling in October
Small Counseling Groups at Briscoe
Here at Briscoe, the counselors try to find a variety of ways to help our students and their emotional wellbeing. With parent permission, students are invited to join a counseling group in the areas of self esteem, conflict resolution and coping skills This is an excellent way for students to build connections and work on skills to help them be successful academically, socially and emotionally. Please print the permission slip attached and turn it into the counseling office.

What is S2S?
Student 2 Student (S2S) is a peer-to-peer student-led program that brings military and civilian students together to welcome new students, create a positive environment for all, support educational opportunities, build connections through service, and ease school transitions. Students make a positive impact on their school and community using the S2S six core values: Leadership, Academics, Service, Climate and Culture, Relationships, and 100% Acceptance.
Your Briscoe Counselors will be sponsoring a Military Kids, S2S, club! Applications are for students that have an active duty family member. Meetings will be twice a month at 8am am on Wednesday mornings in the library. We are so excited to start meeting all of our military kids on campus. Email your counselors for more information!
Meeting Our Briscoe Bengals for Open House
Your counselors enjoyed meeting all of our Bengals and families on open house. Counselors passed out small group and S2S permission slips that are available above. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to assist you and your child this school year.
