Dear Team Page Students, Staff, and Families:

On behalf of all of us at Page School, I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to WNPTO for making the Apple Harvest Dinner and Run such an incredible success.

The organization, coordination, and energy were simply remarkable. From our race directors to the students, staff, and families who volunteered, everyone played a part in making the event so well organized, seamless, and fun.

What an incredible job by everyone involved! Events like this don't happen without countless hours of planning, hard work, and a genuine commitment to our kids and our school community. We see it, we appreciate it, and we are so grateful for everything you do to make Page such a special place.

Last, the Page School Garden Fall Clean-Up is this Sunday and we could really use your help.

Join us Sunday, October 25th, from 9–11 AM as we prepare our garden for winter! We'll clean up the garden beds, harvest the remaining produce, and plant winter garlic. It's a great opportunity to get outside, lend a hand, and enjoy some time together. Dunkin' Donuts Munchkins will be provided!

With appreciation,

Dr. G

November Tasting Tuesday

We are looking for parent volunteers to serve samples of "off the menu" items to students as a way to expose kids to new foods. Each month will feature a healthy food item prepared in a unique way. The next Tasting Tuesday will be on Tuesday 11/24. Fan favorite, KALE CHIPS, will be served prepared by our lovely Kitchen Manager, Katrin James. The kale is coming direct from the Page School Garden! Below is the link if you'd be willing to volunteer your time and pass out samples to interested students. Feel free to sign up for one lunch period or multiple lunch periods. Make sure to have a CORI on file with the office BEFORE volunteering. If you have any questions, please reach out to Nurse Courtney.

Note About Head Lice:

Head lice are a common occurrence among school-aged children. While they can be frustrating to deal with, lice do not spread disease and are not a sign of poor hygiene.

Here are a few things families can do:

  • Check your child’s hair periodically for live lice and nits (eggs).

  • If you suspect your child has lice, consult your healthcare provider or a qualified lice professional for confirmation and guidance on treatment.

  • If your child is diagnosed with head lice, please notify your school nurse.

  • Follow the recommended treatment instructions and continue checking your child’s hair for the next two weeks.

Students with head lice do not need to be excluded from school. Following treatment, students may return to school as long as they are comfortable and able to participate in the school day. No medical clearance is required.

Routine classroom-wide screenings and notifications to all families are not recommended. For more information, please visit the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s head lice fact sheet.
