We regret to inform you that, due to the current state budget impasse, the decision has been made to cancel the 2025 Pennsylvania Collaborative Futures: Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Summit, originally scheduled for November 17–18, 2025.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) will continue to collaborate with PaTTAN and the statewide facilitators to determine how best to support Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for their implementation of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Programs.
We understand the disappointment this may cause and appreciate your understanding and continued commitment to advancing effective and equitable systems of support for students across the Commonwealth.
About the Summit
The Pennsylvania Department of Education’s Bureau of Special Education is pleased to announce the Pennsylvania Collaborative Futures: CS + AI Summit, taking place November 17–18, 2025, at PaTTAN Harrisburg. This event will bring together educators, administrators, and counselors to share ideas, exchange strategies, and collaboratively develop action plans to expand access to computer science (CS) and artificial intelligence (AI) education across K–12 schools and career and technical centers (CTCs).
The Summit theme, Engage. Empower. Excel. — Increasing CS Participation, reflects a shared commitment to sparking curiosity, equipping educators and students with the tools for success, and fostering excellence in CS. It underscores the importance of creating pathways that enable all learners to actively participate and thrive in CS and AI education—while preparing them for Pennsylvania’s future workforce.
Travel Scholarships
We’re excited to offer travel assistance to support your participation in this year’s Summit! No matter where you are located in Pennsylvania, we want to ensure everyone can be part of this event. Travel assistance covers travel costs to and from the summit, so you can focus on making the most of your experience. We will cover mileage for all participants. For participants, who are more than 50 miles away from PaTTAN Harrisburg, we will provide lodging and a meal stipend.
