Tips for Keeping your Family Healthy
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Stay hydrated
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough and/or sneeze
  • Do not share utensils or drinkware
  • Stay home when ill and avoid others that are ill

Information on Keeping your Child Lice Free

  1. Teach your child not to share brushes, combs, hair clips, headbands, headphones, or hats.
  2. Encourage them to use only their own pillows, blankets, etc.
  3. Educate your child about lice transmission, encourage them to avoid head-to-head contact when playing with friends.
  4. Always check your child's hair if you notice they are scratching their head.
  5. Screen all family members for head lice on a regular basis. The sooner the lice are found, the easier it is to get rid of them.

Safe Return Reminders

  • Students can return safely to school after the have been free of vomiting, fever, and/or diarrhea for 24 hours without medications.
