Some of the scriptures used this week were:
- Ephesians 6:16
- Hebrews 11:1
- Hebrews 4:12
- Psalms 27:14
- Isaiah 26:3-4
- 1 Peter 2:15

A Look Back at Last Week
Community Helpers
The littles enjoyed learning more about our helpers in the community this week. The Cullman Police and Fire Departments came to campus to talk to the students and let them see their emergency vehicles. Connecting community helpers with students helps children learn who they can trust and reach out to in an emergency.
Grandparents in the House
On Monday students at both campuses welcomed their grandparents to campus and shared morning devotion time with them. The students enjoyed showing their grandparents around and singing together. We are so thankful for the support and prayers of our grandparents!
Imaginations On Point
Hop on board! A fun ride is just an imagination away! Looks like these students were having a great time "riding the bus" this week during recess.
Cell Labs
7th grade students in Mrs. Eady's Life Science class had a great time this week creating edible plant and animal cell models. Learning about the parts of a cell has never been more fun or tasty!
Building Friendships
Students are settling in for the year and have started forming some great friendships. This group enjoyed some time with each other before morning devotion. We love seeing the students have fun together!
Praising the Lord
Upper school students are arriving early a few days each week to tune up and prepare to lead their peers in praising the Lord. These students work with Mrs. Warden to pick and prepare songs. Several have also taken leadership roles in preparing all the sound and music for morning devotions. We love seeing them take the lead!
Service Learning
Did you know that volunteer service is a graduation requirement at CCS? All high school students are required to earn a minimum of 80 service hours prior to graduation. You may notice these students working around the school or serving in our community. Although the minimum requirement is 80 hours, most students at CCS finish with between 150-250 hours! Senior, Jack Haynes is seen here digging out lost PE balls out of the woods by the play area.
Breaktime
Students at the upper school enjoy a few minutes to shake off the stress each day during break. During this time they are able to shoot basketball, play pickleball, foosball, ping-pong, or even just relax on the sofa with friends for a few minutes. This little brain break helps maximize class time and build camaraderie.
The Little Things that Make a Big Difference
This week one of our grandparents purchased and provided two rolling cards for the upper school. These carts are being used for microwaves that were donated by parents. Having a rolling cart is a HUGE help in pulling out and putting up everything in our leased space each day. It was also a HUGE help that a few of our juniors assembled them for us!
Cullman Clean Sweep Project
Students came out to support our Fair Queen Representative on Saturday. Emma Grace's social initiative platform includes a project, Cullman Clean Sweep, that she is promoting for students to get involved in cleaning up their campus areas.
Reading Time
Students in Mrs. Tucker's 3rd grade class like finding a comfortable space in pairs to work on reading chapter content together.
Church Supporters
This week the pastor at Mt. Olive Baptist church stopped in to bring a donation to CCS from their congregation. We are so thankful for their support and prayers for our school!
Bookmobile Visits
Elementary students are loving the Bookmobile visits! This rolling library visits the main campus each Tuesday filled with interesting, age appropriate books for students to check out.
Elementary Workouts
Elementary PE students did a 9-11 inspired AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) workout in honor of 9-11.
Kindergarten Counting
Number sense and Cherrios... that's where it's at in Mrs. Shaddrix's Kindergarten class. Learning about numbers is about so much more than wrote memory. Hands-on activities help students make associations and deepen understanding of concepts.
First Dress Down Day
Students enjoyed the first $1 Dress Down Day of the year on Friday. This is a great reward for students and an easy fundraiser for the school. Parents may pre-order dress down days when ordering hot lunches or wait for the day of and let the homeroom teacher mark the order in FACTS. Thank you to all who participated!
Event Information
Parents, family members, and friends are always welcome on Tuesday mornings for a dedicated weekly prayer time. This meeting takes place in the lunch area at the Beech Campus immediately following morning devotion on Tuesdays.

Athletic Booster Club Volunteers and Officer Nominations
It is an exciting time to be a CCS Lion! This year there are more students enrolled at CCS than ever before and more opportunities for students to participate in extra-curricular activities. One big area of these activities includes Youth and AHSAA athletics.
To make our athletic programs successful, it takes a host of volunteers! These volunteers make up our athletic booster organization. Many of you are among the parent volunteers who have worked to make these programs successful. From fundraising to running the concession stand -- you make it all possible!
Athletic booster organizations play a crucial role in supporting youth sports programs by fostering community involvement and enhancing resources for young athletes. These parent-led groups not only raise funds to provide essential equipment and facilities but also create a sense of camaraderie and teamwork among families. By actively participating in these, parents can ensure that their children have access to better training opportunities and a positive sports experience. Ultimately, a strong organization helps to cultivate the next generation of athletes and leaders in the community.
The organizational structure of the CCS booster clubs includes the formal election of officers.
Officer nominations may be submitted online at www.cullmanchristian.org/boosters.
Please visit the webpage to submit your nomination for officers by Sunday, September 14, 2025. All nominations are subject to school board approval prior to elections. Elections will be held at a later date.
Thank you for helping support our student athletes! We look forward to working with you.
GO LIONS!
