Dear students, staff, and parents/guardians:

As we enjoy this Memorial Day weekend with family and friends, let’s take time to pause and reflect on the true meaning of the holiday. We honor the brave men and women of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our country and the freedoms we hold dear. Their courage, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to duty will never be forgotten. May we carry their legacy forward with gratitude in our hearts and a renewed dedication to the values they gave their lives to protect

Seniors - The Senior Dinner will take place this Wednesday evening (5/28) at 6pm in the cafeteria. After dinner, you will get your yearbooks. There are two mandatory graduation rehearsals on Thursday & Friday, May 29 & 30, from 9:30-11:00 am.

We will send an email to the junior students this summer regarding parking lottery applications for next year. Juniors who this year were not assigned a parking spot cannot park at the high school through the end of this school year as our construction project personnel will be expanding over the next few weeks.

A reminder that our Summer Program brochure can be accessed here. This includes such enrichment courses as ‘Get It Done! Fast Forwarding Your College Applications (Common App Boot Camp)’ and ‘College Essay Workshop’. Students who are eligible for summer school due to failing grades will be contacted by our School Counseling office after school gets out on June 13.

For rising seniors and rising juniors who plan to take the SAT during the 2025-2026 school year, all registration dates are now open on College Board's website.

For students who plan to take the SAT this fall, we recommend that you register early and save your space now. Click here for more information. The fall SAT dates are:
Saturday, August 23
Saturday, September 13
Saturday, October 4
Saturday, November 8
Saturday, December 6

Students register for the SAT online through their College Board accounts. You will need to upload a headshot photo for your registration ticket and have a credit card to pay the fee. If you believe you qualify for a fee waiver, please contact your school counselor.

Student Support & Attendance May Newsletter: Only 14 Days of School Remain!

The percentage of students who have 18+ absences as of yesterday is at 4.35% for the district.

If it remains there for the next 3 weeks, we'll have cut our Chronic Absenteeism rate in HALF compared to last year's data.

This year's literary magazine, newly christened The Hilltop, is available for reading! We hope you enjoy this small but engaging collection of stories and poems. The students who contributed original work are: Jason Hee, Emmy Miles, Matthew Nealon, Maggie O’Neil, Vanya Singh, and AiVy Truong. These students, along with Charlotte O'Malley, also edited the magazine and prepared it for publication.

We are pleased to announce that Walpole High School was granted designation for a second Innovation Career Pathway in Manufacturing from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Manufacturing joins Information as the two pathways with state designation.

Students who are interested in pursuing careers in the Manufacturing or Information fields are encouraged to apply to be a part of the program.

The Walpole Public Schools will be exhibiting a District Art Show, Grades K-12, for the entire month of May at the Walpole Public Library.

All are welcome. Please stop by to admire the work and meet the artists and teachers!

We are working on putting together the Spring Supplement which will feature all of the spring events. Please help us out by sharing your pictures of spring sports, prom, concerts, graduation activities, etc. These can be uploaded in the Spring Candids assignment on Classroom or uploaded directly to the website.

Registration is now open for the 52nd Annual Walpole Labor Day Road Race!

Don’t miss this wonderful Walpole tradition. Sign-up now for the 5K, 10K, or Youth Mile. All proceeds support the 200+ athletes in the Walpole High School Cross Country / Track & Field Program. Each race participant will receive a finisher’s medal. If you register before August 15th, you’ll also receive a free race t-shirt! Can’t join us live? No problem.
