Game On, Lead Strong – Wrapping Up an Incredible Year
Dear Bellerive Families:
As we make the final moves in this amazing school year, I want to take a moment to thank you for your support. This year brought many new faces to Bellerive—myself included—and I’m so grateful for the warm welcome extended to me, Assistant Principal Joe Butler, our new counselors, and several new staff members.
I’ve been so impressed by our amazing parent community and the support you provide—not only in your child’s day-to-day learning, but also through our PTO and participation in special events. Last week alone was filled with Field Day and the Family Picnic, and we’re excited for Career Day tomorrow. We truly appreciate the many of you who have volunteered your time and energy to make these experiences possible.
This will be the final weekly newsletter of the year. Please keep an eye out in July for updates about back-to-school events, school supply lists, and other important information to help you prepare for the 2025–2026 school year. Here are some key back-to-school dates:
- Kindergarten Screening: Thursday, August 7, 4:30 - 6:00 pm (only for those who did NOT attend Jumpstart to Kindergarten)
- Kindergarten Parent Orientation: Wednesday, August 13, 6:00 - 6:45 pm
- Meet the Teacher & Supply Drop: Thursday, August 14
- Last Names A-L: 3:30 - 4:15 pm
- Last Names M-Z: 4:15 - 5:00 pm
- First Day of School: Monday, August 18
We’re in the home stretch now with a few exciting days left. Let’s finish strong! Have a great summer!
In partnership,
Joey Kneer

End of the Year Medicine Pick-Up
Information from Nurse Osterholt
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I wanted to let you know that School Health Services protocol now requires that all medication housed in the school health office must be picked up by parents or guardians by the last day of school, May 29th. In order to ensure the safe return of medication to parents, no medication will be sent home with students in backpacks or on the bus/school transportation. If your student has written authorization on file with the school nurse to self-carry emergency medication, he/she may transport that medication home.
If your student will be attending a summer school site other than his/her home school, please obtain a copy of the signed physician medication authorization form and action plans from your school nurse. You will need to bring your student’s medication and the authorization form(s) to the summer school nurse at the beginning of summer school.
New medication authorization forms and action plans for asthma, diabetes, seizures and allergies can be found on the Parkway website at https://www.parkwayschools.net/Page/1384. Every student who needs medication at school is required by school board policy to provide new signed authorization forms annually.
Thank you so much for helping us keep all students healthy and safe at school. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Michelle Osterholt BSN, RN, NCSN
