Energy Investigation

Our 6th graders are on the move, literally, as they tackle an ADI investigation on potential and kinetic energy. They’re launching, dropping, and experimenting their way to the truth… because in science class, the only thing with more momentum than their projects is their curiosity.

Remember the Alamo

As part of our study of Texas history, students will design and build model versions of The Alamo. This project helps students explore the architecture, layout, and historical significance of the mission and battle site. Models can be made from materials like cardboard, clay, or craft supplies, and should reflect both creativity and accuracy. Through this project, students will gain a deeper understanding of the events and people that shaped the Texas Revolution while bringing history to life!

Depth and Perspective

6th grade art students are learning about how artists create depth and perspective in their work, identifying the differences in the foreground and background. They are using this knowledge to create their own underwater scenes using their favorite sea creature as a starting point. We will be developing these designs into oil pastel artworks next week.

Coat Drive

As our weather gets colder, we have many students who don't have warm coats. If you have any cold weather sweatshirts or jackets that you could donate, we can put them to good use. Please drop them off at the front office before November 14th.

Vikings Wrap Up Season Against Wimberly

The Vikings wrapped up their season with two hard-fought games against a tough Wimberley team.

• Super Team: Lost 28–0

• 8th Grade Team: Lost 38–0

While the scoreboard didn’t reflect the heart and effort our players showed, every Viking battled to the very end.

Our 8th graders have especially left their mark — a group defined by resilience, growth, and relentless fight. From day to day, week to week, and year to year, they’ve shown what it truly means to improve and never quit.

We’re proud of all they’ve accomplished and can’t wait to see what they do next at the high school level.

Go Vikings!

Parent Portal Password Reset Instructions!

#1 - Make sure you are going through our website link to get to the correct Parent Portal.

https://portals13.ascendertx.com/ParentPortal/login?distid=227912

#2 - If you have forgotten your password, fill in your username and then click on "forgot password. If you try to type an incorrect password more than three times, the system will lock you out for 15 minutes.

#3 - On the next screen, ONLY put in your username...DO NOT put in your email! It will not work. After you put in your username, it will take you to the security question.

Depending on the security question you chose, you will need to remember your answer as you typed it in because it is case sensitive.

#4 - Reset your password. Use your child's name with their birthdate and a symbol to make it easier to remember the password.

#5 - Once you have reset your password, you will be back in your Parent Portal. If you see a RED bar, you need to complete the registration. Once you have completed all the saved forms, you will see a GREEN bar which means you have completed the registration.

You can always download the LVISD app and get easier access to the Parent Portal, etc.

Pick Up List

Parent Portal Contacts - Please remember to add any person who might be picking your child up from school during the day on your contact list in Parent Portal. We do not release any student to any person that is not on your child's contact list.

Thank you!
