We are excited to introduce our NEW Jack Harvey class shirts! We want to make sure all of our Eagles have a shirt this school year to wear for special events, and spirit days. If you wish to purchase a shirt please fill out the form attached and return it to the office with cash.

UCS is moving to a new platform for our community members who want to volunteer. If you are interested in volunteering use the QR code or link below to fill out your application. We look forward to having you at the Eagle House this year!

JHV Meeting Dates: Our JHV does SO many amazing things for our Harvey community! We would love to have you join us for our monthly meetings-either in person or online! All meetings start at 6:00pm.

Our JHV will be hosting the Harvey Fun Run this year! Our scheduled date is Friday, 10/3 (2:30-3:30). In order to make this event a success we need volunteers! Please use the link below to sign up!

Breakfast begins at 8:45 AM and will be served in the multi-purpose room. Students who wish to eat breakfast enter through the front entrance by pressing the buzzer.

Our lunch schedule begins at 11:10 and will depend on your child's grade level. Specific lunch times will be shared in the fall. Lunches will be provided to students who would like to purchase one. Teachers will ask the students each day if they will be ordering lunch for that day. If your child doesn’t want a hot lunch, they can bring their own to enjoy during their lunch period.

Managing Your Student's Breakfast/Lunch Account

• Go to https://utica.familyportal.cloud to set up your account

• You will need your child’s 9-digit ID number to set it up (you can find this on your child's report card or by calling the office)
• You can access student meal accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to view account balances, deposit histories, or your child’s meal or snack selections free of charge.

Meals for 2025-2026 School Year!

• Currently, we are waiting for the Michigan government to approve Michigan School Meals, so we are in a holding pattern. Once we know more, we will let our families know.
• All UCS families are asked to complete the Education Benefits form Here - enter "Utica Community Schools" and follow the prompts. These forms help reduce fees for pay-to-play sports, lower internet costs, reduced AP/college application fees and more!
• Most online forms are processed within two (2) working days compared to 10 using paper applications.
• Paper copies of these forms are distributed to all student households or are available at your child’s school.

Families that wish to put money in their students’ Meal Magic account(s) via credit card will need to create a Family Portal account.

Food Service MUST have the SNP Special Dietary Accommodations form to make any type of food accommodation. Without this, Food Service cannot serve the kids with special requests and allergies. If your child has any sort of food allergy or special request (ie vegetarian), please fill out the form with the signature of the physician (if it is not a religious restriction) and send it in to the Main Office.

You may also print an Education Benefit Form below and fill it out and email it to officeharvey@uticak12.org or turn it into the Main Office. Additional copies are in the office.

Completing online is the quickest and easiest way to complete.

Device Insurance Plan for Accidental Damage – Annual Coverage

An annual insurance plan has been designed to help families if there is an accident that causes damage to the school issued device. When participating in the district’s insurance plan for $20 per year, any accidental damage reported will be covered as described below.

Insurance coverage will repair/replace the device for accidental damage with no cost incurred by the student for the first incident (claim). Subsequent damage repairs during the covered year will have a deductible assessed per instance. Insurance will cover a maximum of 3 damage occurrences during the covered year. The deductible fee schedule for each damage occurrence is outlined below. Please note, if insurance is not purchased, actual repair costs (not to exceed the cost of the device) will apply.

• Second Occurrence – not to exceed $75 (iPad) / $150 (laptop)

• Thereafter – full repair/replacement cost

How to Purchase Device Insurance -- ONLINE:

The initial fee to purchase device insurance can be paid online using your checking account, debit card or credit card through PaySchools. The link to PaySchools is the same for ALL schools: https://www.payschoolscentral.com/

• (Important - it is not recommended to NOT use the app as it does not properly support UCS content).

Note to New Kindergarten Families and Families New to the District:

• You will need to first create the PaySchools account for your family.
• Complete the account registration by selecting register, enter your profile details, setting up your password via the email link that will be sent to you, then logging in.
• Add your children to your account using their student ID numbers. ID numbers are found in PowerSchool, and on their report card available through PowerSchool.
• If you like, enter credit card and/or banking information as forms of payments to use with your PaySchools account.
