π Spring ECU Registration Is Coming!
Itβs time for students to begin planning for their Spring ECU courses! Students will be working through the registration process over the next several weeks, and families can help by talking with students about their schedules, college plans, and future majors.
Students should first review their IECHS spring schedule and current GPA using the registration worksheet shared with them by Mr. Grant. After identifying gaps in their IECHS schedule, students should explore PiratePort for potential ECU courses that fit their availability.
Students will then meet with Dr. Guidry to discuss their course options. These conversations are about more than just next semester. Students should begin thinking about where they may want to attend college, possible majors, whether their ECU credits will transfer, and which courses will best support their long-term academic goals.
After meeting with Dr. Guidry, students must complete the ECU Course Selection Google Form by October 23. The selections on this form are not set in stone. The form helps us identify students who may need additional support as they finalize their course choices.
π Important Dates
October 23: ECU Course Selection Google Form due
October 30: ECU registration opens at 1:00 PM
Seniors and 5th-year students will receive the code needed to register themselves. Sophomores and juniors will be registered by Dr. Guidry using the information they submit on the Google Form.
We encourage families to begin having conversations now about studentsβ college and career goals so we can make their ECU coursework as purposeful as possible.
Celebrating Our College-Bound Krakens!
We are so proud of all of our students who received automatic college acceptances to colleges and universities across North Carolina this week through the NC College Connect program! π
These acceptances are a reflection of the hard work, dedication, and perseverance our students have demonstrated throughout the past four to five years. This is an exciting milestone, and we want to celebrate YOU!
π¬ Bring your college acceptance letters to Ms. Putney, Mr. Grant, or Mrs. Hyatt so we can recognize and celebrate your accomplishments!
