Good Morning E.L.M. Families,

Happy Friday! The Savoy Loop Race weekend has finally arrived. We are excited to host this event tomorrow morning beginning at 9:00am. I want to give a GREAT BIG SHOUT OUT to Arleigh Cooper, Tanya Harris, Erica LeGrand, Sam Zwirba, Andrea Frew, Christina Engwer and the many other folks that helped to organize and run this event. THANK YOU Loop Race Team! All proceeds from this event go directly to support that good work of the PTG.

News, Updates & Reminders:

* Please remind your student to bring their water bottles to school. We are unable to provide cups to students, so if they don't have a water bottle, they will have to drink from the water fountain. While the water from the fountain is safe to drink, it doesn't taste as good as the water from the water cooler.

* New Families - Brrrrr, it gets cold up here on the mountain. Please know that the temp up here is usually 5-10 degrees colder than down in Adams & Cheshire. We recommend bringing a sweatshirt every day, just in case.

* Gr. 3-6 will attend a field trip to Ramblewild in Lanesboro on Friday, 9/22. Students should dress for the weather, hiking in the woods, and layers are recommended. Students will also need to bring their own lunch and snack on this day. This trip will take place rain or shine.

* Gr. 6 Families - Hoosac will be hosting an open house next week. If you are interested in attending there is more information below.

Planning Ahead:

* Our next half day of school will be Friday, Oct. 6th. Lunch will be served before students are dismissed at 11:30am. The Aftercare Program will be available to those families that are registered for Fridays and/or half days.

* Emma Miller will host a Flu/COVID clinic on Thursday, Oct. 12th from 3:00-5:30pm. All families and children are welcome to participate.

PTG Updates & Reminders:

* The next PTG meeting will be Tuesday, Oct. 10th at 5:00pm. The PTG welcomes new members and is currently looking for a vice president.

Health & Safety:

* We conducted our first lockdown drill this past week, and as always our children and staff did an awesome job.
