Early Release Wednesday, October 11:
Please be reminded Wednesday, October 11th is a two hour early release, students will be dismissed from school at 12:30 pm. If your dismissal plans are different from a normal school day you MUST tell your students' homeroom teacher.
If you need your student to stay until 2:30 pm you must register your child for supervision. We ask that you continue to register each month for early release supervision as many families' plans change. If your student attends ACES or YMCA you still need to register for child supervision each time.
Parents/Guardians that pick up students please park in the parking lot and go to door number 1 at 2:30 pm. A staff member will meet you at the door. We ask that you please refrain from picking up between 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm as our staff wishes to focus their time on engaging in meaningful activities with students. We understand that circumstances may change, but appreciate your help with this request.
If you need child care for your student between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm on Wednesday, September 20th, please fill out the form linked below. (If you would like to send a snack for after school please feel free.)

A few reminders:
- Pumpkins can be dropped off before school on the 12th, tables will be set up for them to be stored during the day.
- We ask that families take the pumpkins home with them at the end of the Fall Festival but any not picked up will be outside of Door 1 at the end of the evening so they can be picked up after hours or the morning of the 13th. Any pumpkins not picked up by Friday afternoon will be disposed of.
- The Pelican and DonutNV will be on-site to provide some tasty food options (for purchase).
- Older siblings can volunteer; a great opportunity to see some former Huskies!
Future Focused Facilities
Current and prospective MAPS families tell us they need access to early learning programming, including all-day preschool and birth-to-school-age childcare. The November 7 bond referendum includes space for early learning expansion to provide comprehensive birth to preschool programming at MAPS Center for Learning and Eagle Lake Elementary.
Watch this video as Katie Gag, Assistant Director of Early Learning, shares the need for additional classroom space to serve young learners and their families.
These proposed renovations demonstrate a commitment to providing a strong, future-focused educational foundation for our youngest learners, setting them on a path to academic and social success.
Learn more about the facilities bond referendum at www.isd77.org/vote2023 and make your plan to vote on or before November 7, 2023.

Attendance Matters: September Statisitics
Here are a few statistics for the last month (September):
49 students are missing more that 10% of school days. This happens to represent 10% of our student population. We are hoping over time that we can improve on this measure as we get thru cold and flu season!
We are looking for an average daily attendance of more than 98%. Here is the current breakdown by grade level
- Kindergarten: 97.3% of Kindergarten students were in attendance.
- Grade 1: 95.3% of first graders were in attendance.
- Grade 2: 96.5% of second graders were in attendance.
- Grade 3: 96.6% of third graders were in attendance.
- Grade 4: 96.8% of fourth graders were in attendance.
- Grade 5: 95.6% of fifth graders were in attendance.
We look forward to partnering with families to remove any barriers to attendence as well as ensure school is a safe, fun, and welcoming place to be! We appreciate your support in helping students arrive on time (7:50am). You are welcome to drop students off as early as 7:45!
Should you have any questions, you are welcome to contact any member of our attendance team.
