We are so excited to be your counselors this school year! Together, we have a combined total of 25 years in education with 12 at the middle school level. We have a lot of tips and tricks to help your student be successful emotionally and academically.

Middle school can be so fun! For our incoming 6th grade, you'll really enjoy that you get to switch classes and rooms throughout the day and have classes with lots of different students. You can also see your friends during passing periods. Middle school is a great opportunity to learn how to manage your own time and schedule. And remember, everyone is feeling nervous to start a new school year so just be your friendly self! As your school counselors, we are here to help you navigate these three years at SCMS and help you to achieve your goals.

Mrs. Krininger's dogs, Wager and Kash, are from the same mom and dad but different litters. Mrs. Losey's dog, Lucy, has the same dad as Wager and Kash!

The schedules are live in Infinite Campus as of July 17th. Please double check to ensure your schedule has the four core classes: English, Math, Science, and Social Studies (Geography for 6th and 7th, US History for 8th). Students should also have Flex for their grade level. For new students the schedule release may be delayed as we process new enrollments.

Due date to finalize schedule corrections - Friday, August 1st.

Please let your counselor know if you’re in the wrong class or if you have any questions. Some classes are for a full year and others are for a quarter or semester. We are here to help you!

If assistance is needed for school supplies, please touch base with your counselor and we will direct you to services in our community and school that are available.

SC School Corporation has a Food Pantry.

It is open Thursday afternoons at the High School for all families enrolled in a SC school.

SCMS also participates in the weekend food bag program for students.
