Mrs. Elliott's Message Mrs. Elliott's Message

Hello Maple Families,

Although a short week, we were all excited to welcome back our returning students and meet the new first graders!! A huge thank you goes out to the Birch staff for surpising students these past two days. It was wonderful to have their familiar faces here to help our 1st grade friends find their way!!!

The first couple of days have been a whirlwind of activity here at Maple. From working on establishing relationships and creating classrooms communities to teaching routines and expectations, things have been busy. We look forward to the full week of school ahead.

Don't forget to update your back to school forms! If your emergency contact information hasn't changed, please review your current information to make sure it's still accurate. We need this information to ensure our contacts for your child are up-to-date! Please don't hesitate to contact Mrs. Miller with any questions.

We have been so fortunate here at Maple to receive tons of donations over the last couple of weeks. Several different community groups collected items found on our supply lists. We appreciate our community!

Upcoming Dates

  • 8/25 Parade (meet at HS at 12:45)
  • 8/27 Maple Produce Market 4:30 - 6:30pm
  • 9/2 NO SCHOOL ~ Labor Day

A final thank you goes out to Mr. Caleris, our superintendent, for riding Bus 77 home with our students! Getting to know our WHO is what's most important!!

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mrs. Elliott

Arrival & Dismissal Arrival & Dismissal

THANK YOU for your patience with our arrival and dismissal process these past two days. We take the safety of your children very seriously and this causes things to take longer the first few days. I have attached maps below to assist with the traffic flow.

A few reminders are listed below as we head into next week:

  1. Thank you for your patience as arrival and dismissal times have been slower the past couple of days. We are still working out the kinks but our main priority is to get all students home safely!
  2. Please make sure you have your orange parent pick-up sign in your front window, as it helps us quickly match cars to students.
  3. Students may begin entering the building at 7:55 for an 8:10 start time. Dismissal begins at 2:50pm.
  4. Please drive slowly in our driveway and parking lot. This ensures that staff and students stay safe!
  5. When exiting the building, you are required to make a right-hand turn to help the flow of traffic.
