What a Wonderful Fall Week!

We had such a fun and busy week celebrating our Fall Fest days here at Pittaway! It was so special to welcome families into our school and share the joy of the season together. The children were excited to show their families around the school and join in the activities side by side.

Our Fall Fest events were packed with fall fun. Families sang songs, moved and grooved to some of our favorite tunes, tasted homemade applesauce, explored sensory bins, counted seeds, and decorated their very own pumpkins. A big thank-you to our amazing PTO for providing the pumpkins that made our celebration extra special.

Just a quick reminder that there will be no school on Monday, October 20th in honor of Diwali, the Festival of Lights. Diwali is a joyful holiday celebrated by many around the world, symbolizing the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.

We’re excited to invite you to our first Parent Coffee of the year! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other families, chat with staff, and learn more about what’s happening at Pittaway and in the District. Register Here to let us know if you’ll be attending one of the sessions. If you will need a translator, please be sure to register by October 30th so we can make arrangements in advance.

Fall conferences will take place in the afternoon on October 28th, 29th, and 30th. Please remember that these are early release days before lunch.

Your child’s teacher will be sending out more information about how to sign up for a conference time. Please note that conferences are designed for caregivers to meet with the teacher and discuss how your child is adjusting to school and the skills they are currently working on. Childcare will not be available during conference times.

November 26: Early Release, No Lunch, No PM or Late Pick-up, Full Day dismissal 11:15 -11:30 AM

November 27-28: Thanksgiving Recess
