Our Mission
The mission of Milroy Elementary is to prepare and inspire all learners to reach their highest potential through meaningful connections and rigorous learning opportunities.
Dear Cardinal Families,
What a week it has been at Milroy Elementary! Our days were packed with exciting activities, memorable field trips, and the joy of celebrating our recent fundraising success. It was wonderful to see our students learning, exploring, and having fun together.
Our STEAM classes will be painting next week! Please send your child in clothing that you don’t mind getting a little messy. Thank you for helping us be prepared for this fun activity!
Thank you, families, for your continued support—it truly makes a difference. Overall, it’s been a great week, and we look forward to many more exciting moments ahead!
Thank you for your continued support in making our school such a special place to learn and grow!

Car Riders
Morning Drop-Off
- Morning Drop Off is between 8:00 and 8:20. After this time, the gym doors will be locked and you will need to bring your child to the front office to be dropped off. Students will be counted tardy after 8:20.
- Please make sure you child is dropped off at the sidewalk on the passenger's side of the car. If for some reason he/she needs to get out of the car on the driver's side of the car, you will need to get out and walk your child around to the sidewalk. We want our students to be safe so please follow this guideline.
- Please make sure that you are pulled up next to the sidewalk before dropping students off. If you have not pulled up to the sidewalk yet, we ask that you wait until you can pull forward. This ensure that students are visible to school staff. Please encourage your child to walk on the inside on the sidewalk rather than the edge near the blacktop. Again, this is due to the safety of the students.
Afternoon Pick-Up
- Car Rider pick up is at 3:00. Please have your sign with you when picking up your child. If you need an additional sign for a family member picking up your child, please let the office know. If the driver does not have a sign, he/she will be asked to show ID to pick up your child. If another person is picking up your child, please let the front office know and we will make a note for your child.
- Please only pull forward after all students have been loaded and a school staff gives you the go ahead to move forward.
Bus Riders
- Please talk with your child about bus safety and how it is important to sit in the seat properly, keep hands and feet inside the aisle, and to follow the expectations we have in place. I've explained to all students that the bus driver's job is to get them to and from school safely. However, they need to do their job as well and follow the rules.
- Students are to only ride the bus assigned to him/her. We are not able to allow students to "bus hop" and ride home with friends. Thank you for your help with this.
