Dear SWS Community,

As we head into spring break, I want to wish you all a safe, relaxing, and joyful week. Whether you're traveling, staying close to home, or just taking a breather from busy routines, I hope it's a time to recharge and enjoy some family fun. We’ll see everyone back in school on Monday, April 28—ready to finish the school year strong! NJSLA testing begins Monday, May 5 for grades 3 through 6. More information will be emailed directly to families regarding testing week.

If you or your student is looking for something creative to do over the break, the SWEF Logo Art Contest has been extended! We’d love to see entries from all of our artists—young and young-at-heart. Scroll below for the updated details and consider sketching or designing something over the break.

Coming up soon is TREP$ Marketplace on May 2. Our 5th and 6th grade entrepreneurs have been hard at work, and their advertisements are listed below so you can start planning your shopping trip. It’s always a great event full of creativity and spirit.

Then on Saturday, May 4, join us for SWEF’s Spring Cleanup Day. It’s a great way to help both the environment and the Sandyston-Walpack Education Foundation. Check out the flyer below for how to get involved.

Lastly, if you have a student in grades 3-6 be sure to read about our upcoming June 4 field trip with the Sussex County Miners. Information and permission forms about this Education Day at the ballfield is below.

Sandyston Walpack Education Foundation Spring Festival

The SWEF is excited to announce we are planning a Spring Festival on May 18th from 12:00 to 4:00. This event will be slightly larger and longer than our previous fall festivals. We have reserved a local food truck, live music, portable toilets, and have planned additional events.

We are again extending an invitation for local vendors to sell their wares. This invitation is open to all members of the Sandyston and Walpack community who have primarily homemade, homegrown, or recycled goods to sell. Youth vendors are also welcome to participate. For more information about becoming a vendor at this event please click the sign up link below.

Click here to sign up to be a vendor at the Spring Festival.

This is a rain or shine event. We ask all vendors to provide their own table and invite them to bring a tent if they wish. There is no fee to reserve a table, but we do ask that you confirm your spot no later than May 1. If you have any questions, please send an email to swseducationfoundation@gmail.com.
