Happy November! It’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of the first trimester. We are so proud of our students’ hard work and growth so far this year. As we move into this busy season, we want to thank you for your ongoing partnership in supporting your child’s learning and for all you do to make our school community strong.

As temperatures drop, please send your child with a coat, hat, and gloves each day. We go outside for recess if the wind chill is 10 degrees or higher. If your family needs assistance with winter gear, please call, text, or email Tonya.martin@rps205.com or 815-713-6203— we’re happy to help.

Conferences are coming up soon! Please make sure you’ve signed up using your child’s teacher’s link below. These meetings are a valuable opportunity to discuss progress, goals, and how we can continue to support your child’s success.

Parent Teacher Conference Sign-up

If your student has access to a device (Ipad, tablet, laptop, phone, etc.) that they can use for homework, please bring it to your conference. We will have a booth set up to help get classlink installed so that your student can access learning at home.

Interested in spiritwear? Help spread school pride by purchasing West View Spiritwear! Wearing our school colors is a great way for students, staff, and families to show their West View spirit and feel part of our amazing school community. Spiritwear also makes a fun gift for the holidays!

Attendance Update.

As we wind into fall break, please support us by getting students to school on time every day. Our attendance has slipped a bit since the start of the year, and we want to finish strong! Every minute of learning counts — arriving on time and attending daily helps students build good habits, stay caught up, and feel connected to their classmates. Thank you for helping us make attendance a priority this month and every month!
