Cherrydale Primary School
Cheetah Newsletter September 17, 2025
From the Principal
Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families,
As we settle into the school year, we want to remind families that riding the bus is a privilege, and we all play a part in keeping the ride safe and respectful for every student.
Please take a moment to review these important bus expectations with your child:
Stay seated for the entire ride.
Use a low-level voice to avoid distracting the driver.
No eating or drinking on the bus.
Keep hands, feet, and belongings to yourself.
Respect others’ property and personal space.
Students who consistently do not follow bus expectations may face one or more of the following: an assigned seat for an extended period of time, phone calls home to discuss the unexpected bus behavior, or a temporary break from riding the bus.
Our goal is to work together to support positive behavior and ensure a safe ride for all students. If you have routing or bus stop concerns, please contact Durham Transportation at (253) 584-1365. If you have any concerns regarding student-to-student interactions on the bus, please reach out to our main office for support.
Thank you for partnering with us to help all students enjoy a safe, smooth ride to and from school!
Warm Regards,
Christine Firth, Principal
